Thanks for putting it in laymen's terms. I feel bad for any club at the moment with the hoops they have to jump through to get an event happening and now this on top of it.
The problem is that MA not disclosing the specific areas where they have claimed MV has failed in governance and put the insurance at risk. (See 2023 annual report) For the past 12 months they will not disclose the specifics. Recently they decided that they won’t release that info to MV until MV agrees to constitution.
Correction - the original 3 states that disagreed with things in the constitution were NSW, WA, and Vic. I believe VIC is now the only 1 not to state they will agree and are still in discussion.
Since filming this I have read the constitutional review requested by the states and imo it’s not a big deal. Would be worked out in time and nothing major in there. Problem must be something else.
I think you may have missed the specific communication from MV recently explaining this is the first time they were advised the constitution issue stopped them being provided with the delegation of authority. To this point, and in all the zoom conferences this was never presented to anyone, let alone MV. Call on MA to be transparent as they aren’t, and they just go around in circles and change the goal posts. Using the riders in vic and clubs as leverage appears wrong, especially when as you pointed out, we have to speculate as we’re not given all of the fact.
As a nobody bloke, who's done a bit of track racing years ago, and signed up my kid for a few grass track events, and doesn't have much to do with the scene anymore.. seems ridiculous for me to be getting emails from MA and MTAS bickering.
