i love how once joey is sent to kill, the music turns all distorted and unnerving
joey is faced with a serious moral dilemma, and it's weighing on her
she's been seperated from Xefros, and the only way to get him back is to take another troll's life... or at least make it look like she did...
I wanted to go back and look on the whole clown cart part and i noticed something interesting. Marvus knew you didn't kill the first 2 people, and still let you go. You wouldn't have known unless you went right back into the clown cart and talked to him before you went to "get the fygo". Not only that, he let Xefros go after the one of the clown went to look for you knowing that Xefros would most likely protect Joey. Or maybe he knew Joey wouldn't kill anyone and he let Xefros go cuz he know he would kill someone to protect Joey. Idk Troll Clowns are so fucked, either way Marvus still made Joey play that awful game of his so he is still a fucker.
It's aaaall about mind games with the clowns in homestuck.... Also in general
i think marvus ‘made’ joey play the game because he was forced to. in both friendsim and now hiveswap, its implied marvus doesnt exactly follow up on the rules of being a clown like others of his caste might (chahut for a specific example). he’s a highblood, sure, but he’s a minority among his own caste. if he exposed himself to be one thinking differently than those of his caste, he’d be killed. he’s playing it safe, but still being sympathetic to joey’s and xefros’ cause and because of his high status ironically limiting him, he can let things slide for those two.
i mean, he couldn't just outright let them go through. chahut would definitely not have let that slide.
I think one of the reasons why he allowed joey to cheat the kill game is because it entertained him. Sure, watching trolls cull each other is hella entertaining for a clown, but watching one struggle not to do so is entertainment in it's own way. Why they let Xefros go however is indeed an interesting question where I can only agree with you that it was to keep joey alive.
It's one big joke to him. That's why he let it slide.

I just realized there were 4 chairs in the indigo section, because Zebruh was supposed to be on it too but we took his ticket. that’s why there was an empty chair, huh!
Oh! And four rooms, too.
Future me: apparently the other routes where you get tickets from someone other than zebruh means he gets on the train too! well, one day, i’m gonna play this game myself and not watch someone else play it, haha.
3:13:03 I just realized that there’s a portrait of grand highblood right behind Barzum and Baizli
Furthermore, there are statues of Gamzee to the left and right cradling the infant cherub (depicting future events) in addition to spiral and snake structures referencing Lord English. Heck, the clown roulette door's flashing eyes are also a pretty obvious nod at LE. Really awesome attention to detail in this car.

Because of it, I honestly had this thought that this is perhaps indeed an alternate dimension to Homestuck wherein the game, Sburb or Sgrub, never existed, but Earth and Alternia continued to exist independently, as well as the concept of the Cherubims. With TGH shown in Hiveswap, Godtier Gamzee showing at the sides, and the Cherubim snakes + palettes in both Acts 1 and 2, I'm starting to believe that Hiveswap is set in an alternate dimension to Homestuck, and years after the beta trolls existed + somewhat 5 or 6 decades after the beta kids were born.
@@angelamarieberdin714 nothing to really support that, homestuck is known for their time shenanigans and whatnot, the clowns always predicted the vast honk which lord english does when he arrives/already arrived

I feel really bad for Barzum, literally feeling Baizli's head coming off and all of their pain. It felt mortifying to see Baizli's face, as she plummeted into the spiky ground. I can only imagine how Joey must have felt in that moment.

Opal Draws I’m having the same problem. There’s an achievement for helping her and everywhere I’ve looked just tells me to give her the medkit but it doesn’t seem to let me give it to her.

ok maybe im reading too much into stuff but does anyone else think that theres something sort of odd about how the cutscene seemingly repeats (showing marvus activating the machine 2 different times)?
also, if you pay close attention, theres the video seems to glitch (though that may be just an actual glitch) and there seems to be someone talking during the 'first' time the machine is activated in the cutscene (which was probably just to sound spooky or something)
1. He didn’t actually activate the machine, it was just spinning for visual effect and 2. It’s just sound effects of creepy laughter, not people talking

Will you do the different endings and all? I feel that the walkthrough spends very little time talking or clicking stuff for a point and click.
That said great job!
I did make an effort to do all the dialogue with most of the characters. I think I missed one or two in one of the train cars. I do however skip clicking on the ambient items and background as I mainly make these videos to assist in helping people with parts they are stuck on, or for people who want to watch the games storyline. Apologies!
