- Uppsala is the fourth largest city in Sweden with a population of roughly 220,000. It's a 30 minute train ride just north of Stockholm. Its flagship university was founded in 1477 and is considered one of the top 100 universities in the world.
This is my first ever drone video. I'm always looking to become a better drone flyer and videographer so if you have any recommendations for me, please leave some in the comments. I hope you enjoy it!
I've lived here for a year now and absolutely love it. Some of the shots in the video include Uppsala Cathedral (Uppsala Domkyrka), Uppsala Castle (Uppsala Slott), the Fyris River, and Linneanum Botanical Garden.

I was there when you would have shot this video in 2019-2020. I miss Uppsala so much! Hope I can visit again someday.
I was lucky to have seen the domkyrka without the renovation cranes but I missed checking out Gustavianum because it was shut for around 4 years, for renovation 😅

@@eCKsplorer Sadly it is not so easy to get a tourist/visiting visa for EU countries. A residence permit is even harder to obtain. Hopefully one day!

@J King har bara läst på om det. aldrig varit där så kan inte säga något jag gillar eller inte. större än dem andra jag sökt lite på (norr/jön/lin köping. örebro) nära till stockholm/arlanda. sett lite videor verkar fint

I’m from the US, Washington DC to be exact but I just love living in Europe so not sure if I’ll ever go back! I hope to have some more videos of Sweden at some point so stay tuned!

Thanks so much! The original video I uploaded was in 4K and it played like that for some time. I actually think recently that TH-cam for some reason limited the 4K playback to certain channels, which is a shame. I’ll keep on the forums to see what the deal is but thank you for letting me know!

Haha I need to get more footage of Stockholm to put a video together so maybe this summer. The drone laws are also much more strict there so getting aerial shots of the city will be difficult. But I’ll try capture Stockholm in time lapses and drone shots where I am allowed to fly.

How did you get permission to shoot there? With the city being so close to the military base?
You don't need any permission to shoot a video in a city
You can’t fly within 5 km of the military base. So this boundary ends in the north luthagen area, so therefore it does not cover the area around the castle and cathedral. You do however need permission from the helipad at the hospital to fly, since it is just a few hundred meters away from here.
