Regardless, they always slay it in the vocal department. With Aya, a lot of people weren't happy with the empty chorus since they expected vocals. It's not a common style for Mamamoo, but that's what fans appreciate--that they do things outside of the "norm" and to do something new for themselves and their fans. That said, I read your description about having some background in dance. Moonbyul herself actually prefers a more hip-hop style of dance (but doesn't get to show it off much in Mamamoo songs), and Wheein is a very versatile dancer herself. They have dance covers/performances up on the Mamamoo channel if you ever wanna check it out. :) Ah, and all of the members actually have solo careers as well, if you ever wanna look into that some day. They all have very strong individuality, and yet they come together very well as a group!

They are unique, mature, and all 4 stand out individually in all their work instead of having a blend of multiple girls into one entity (as it's with so many girl groups).

Welcome to one of the deepest rabbit holes in contemporary music. Mamamoo is best when live because of their amazing vocals and riveting stage presence. For an intro to MMM live I'd start with their r&b ballad I Miss You on the Queendom girl group competition tv show last year, then their Immortal Songs Medley from a 2017 MMM concert, which is a medley of some of the cover songs they performed between 2015-17 on the singing competition tv show Immortal Songs 2. Yes, unlike other kpop groups, they have a more "mature" approach to their music. They are their own genre. They are performers who are set out to captivate the people watching them. The genre of their songs might be very different form each other, but one things you'll find is their ability to empower, especially women; backed up with their great vocals and stage presence, they're artists you can look forward to.
You should react to their comeback show for AYA and Dingga. MAMAMOO's stage presence is not a joke but whatever you react from them, you wont be disappointed. They are just so good.
It's great to see you checking out Mamamoo! They're my favorites. I'm fairly new to K-pop, and they quickly grabbed my attention. The songs are great, and all the members have killer vocals and/or raps, but more than anything, I feel like it's their charisma that really sets them apart from other groups. Just from their MVs alone, their individual personalities always shine through, and they've had amazing presence from day 1. Hip and Egotistic are definitely must-sees, so I'm glad you're doing those next. A couple of other recommendations: Piano Man (One of my favorites. My Mamamoo girls have Soo many good song. Dacalementie (I don’t think I spelled that right), Egotistc, Paint me, hip, Dingga, ooh um ah yeah, piano man, mr ambiguous, starry night, yes I am, I wanna be myself, gogobebe... Mamamoo can do any genre and are vocals queens. Moonbyul can sing too and I hope we get more tracks that have her using her vocals and her rapping. Solar is the leader and a freaking vocal power house. Wheein is a peer house in a different way then Solar. Mamamoo being mature and they general sound/attitude sets them apart from other girl groups. They know who they are and they have personality. Confidence. Solar is almost 30 and did become a trainee till she was like 22, later then most female. And Moonbyul was trained to be a vocalist before she became a rapper after company after company did not see the greatness of her vocals; so she leaned how to rap in a short period of time and writes her own raps. Absense, Eclipse, in my room, Snow are Moonbyul solo songs I would recommend. As for Solar- Spit it out is a recommend.

Sorry for being very chatty ^^ i just want to list down my personal faves in case anyone wants to start radish farming as well and also describe a bit the vibe of their tracks (for me) if anyone is looking for a particular vibe. You dont have to react to it let alone to film it, but i just feel like those tracks are pretty sufficient to illustrate their versatility while maintaining a strong vocal performance
Also MMM are total crackheads on and off stage, they are very candid and such lovable idiots. I just found out about them through last year’s mama performance and here i am stanning hard for their performances and their personalities (i never stan any group beside little mix before hahaha)

Yes, unlike other kpop groups, they have a more "mature" approach to their music. They are their own genre. They are performers who are set out to captivate the people watching them.
The genre of their songs might be very different form each other, but one things you'll find is their ability to empower, especially women; backed up with their great vocals and stage presence, they're artists you can look forward to.
You should react to their comeback show for AYA and Dingga. MAMAMOO's stage presence is not a joke but whatever you react from them, you wont be disappointed. They are just so good.

It's great to see you checking out Mamamoo! They're my favorites. I'm fairly new to K-pop, and they quickly grabbed my attention. The songs are great, and all the members have killer vocals and/or raps, but more than anything, I feel like it's their charisma that really sets them apart from other groups. Just from their MVs alone, their individual personalities always shine through, and they've had amazing presence from day 1.
Hip and Egotistic are definitely must-sees, so I'm glad you're doing those next. A couple of other recommendations:
Piano Man (One of my favorites. Their first comeback that shows of the retro sound that used to be their trademark in the early days.)

From their debut, Mamamoo already mature. They are not typical kpop girl group.
I envy you just discovering Mamamoo. They have such a great diversity of songs and styles. They are extremely confident and comfortable with the audience and each other. Vocals and harmonies are superior. If you really want to get a good taste of their vocal power, check out their live radio appearances.

My Mamamoo girls have Soo many good song.
Dacalementie (I don’t think I spelled that right), Egotistc, Paint me, hip, Dingga, ooh um ah yeah, piano man, mr ambiguous, starry night, yes I am, I wanna be myself, gogobebe... Mamamoo can do any genre and are vocals queens. Moonbyul can sing too and I hope we get more tracks that have her using her vocals and her rapping. Solar is the leader and a freaking vocal power house. Wheein is a peer house in a different way then Solar. Mamamoo being mature and they general sound/attitude sets them apart from other girl groups. They know who they are and they have personality. Confidence. Solar is almost 30 and did become a trainee till she was like 22, later then most female. And Moonbyul was trained to be a vocalist before she became a rapper after company after company did not see the greatness of her vocals; so she leaned how to rap in a short period of time and writes her own raps. Absense, Eclipse, in my room, Snow are Moonbyul solo songs I would recommend. As for Solar- Spit it out is a recommend.
