Correct. I can speak from experience. Something happened in my life when i left high school. I was like 17/18 at the time. I now suffer from anxiety, depression and PTSD because of it. I still feel like my mind is stuck in that age even though i am now close to 32 years of age. I have a fear of taking on various responsibilities which would be more suited for grown men to do.

It was sad then and it’s even harder to see it being played out in a documentary. Everyone who played a part in the conviction of these innocent young men should be prosecuted to the fullest. There were no apologies and no remorse. Not no money no apology will ever give these young men back their youth and take away the mental and physical abuse that they endured. I hope they find peace.

My heart still hurts to this day -remembering being one of those 15-16 year old teenagers back in 1989, living in housing projects on the upper west side of manhattan approximately 3 blocks up from where the rape incident took place in Central Park. I remember our worried grandmother calling my brother and I upstairs for the evening from playing outside asking us bout this. Luckily we no where near the park nor were we even allowed to leave from in front of the building. Having known about this for 30 years to eventually going on to college and doing a sociology term paper on this case...the thought and idea of having my life stopped as a 15-16 year old teenager arrested, apprehended, abused while unaccompanied by a guardian then coerced into committing a rape crime I never did, spending years in prison is something “no one” would’ve been able to fathom.
These young kings did such amazing job..And side note, it took the very talented director Ava DuVernay to craft up a beautifully compelling story, that was yet so daunting and heartbreaking that it still effects the real Central Park 5 and us today.
    Well done cast. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Poor Korey Wise lost his youth. It's easy to understand how he can't really let it go. As for Jharrel Jerome. I do hope to see more of him. That was 1 of the best performances i have seen. Amazing stuff but in saying that it was heartbreaking to see what happened to those boys and in particular Korey.

As a black man I don't want to be mad. I don't want to be angry. I don't want to hate.... Please help me and millions of others like me.. By just admitting that the kids were innocent..... Stop protecting Trump, stop protecting the NYPD, stop protecting the prosecutors, and stop trying to protect people from embarrassment... We need to hear from all parties involved in the process of not bringing true Justice to the victim and for destroying the 5 young men lives..
It's time to admit. So we can forgive, move on, and heal. So we can teach our young about being honest.

It’s so sad If you see Korey today his fashion and himself as a person is like a teen but it’s really sad that he kind of has to because he lost his childhood for no reason only because he’s black it hurts so much god bless him and the others couldn’t imagine being in that situation

No what sucks, this is one out of 102737339 trillion stories that are very tragic ,melanin people , brown , and other races , but especially melanin people, especially in this country, some of us get raped at a young age, beat, bullied by our own, get motivated to do better, drugged own by our own and get killed by our own, and all that especially by whites
