Hey Dan. This area (Morgan Hill State Forest) is my favorite training grounds for Adirondacks hiking since there is a lot of elevation gain to be had. I can't tell you how many times I've hiked up and over Tinker Falls. Here's a vid I made a couple years ago showing the hike to a nice secluded lean to:

if you do get to the top of the Falls you can go left to the hang gilder takeoff.... but I prefer going to the right. It will take you up and then down and then across Shackham Road to Hemlock Glen which has a series of small cascading waterfalls... and a lean to near the top of the hill.@@ADKMan
