Just making a comment for all the aspiring potentially future EOD techs out there reading through comment section looking for more the same way I was years ago
    1. EOD is one of the best communities in the DoD no matter the branch you serve. The heritage and people are amazing.
    2. EOD is an incredibly fulfilling, multifaceted career. There are not a lot of boring days. We have a several mission sets and if we aren’t doing them, we are constantly training on them. (Of course we still have boring office work that needs tending to🙄)
    3. EOD school is hard. It isn’t always a physically demanding pipeline, the academics are what kill people. It is a long, grueling marathon in the classroom and practice pits, not a sprint. The days are long but I think most of us can say, the day it was over you actually feel like you’re apart of something.
    4. As said, it is a job interview. I’ve seen people get dropped on their first failure, I’ve seen team players and awesome dudes get three shots. The upside to that is people coming in are pretty well vetted!
That all being said, don’t be afraid to take the step. It sounds scary but the pipeline really shows you what you’re capable of. I love helping people joining the military and looking at career paths as it will set you up for the rest of your life. Feel free to reach out if you have any EOD questions at all!

Insane. Been watching you guys for almost 5 years, joined the Air Force and graduated NAVSCOLEOD around the same time as Amanda, and now I’m watching her on your show. Let’s go!! 🦀

Dang I remember hanging out with her at Doc's when she had just gotten to Eglin and was waiting for a class seat! Glad to see techs from our year doing well--thanks as always for the steady content and looking forward to the years to come

this episode has a lot of great 'real talk' I ended up in regular air force but i watched a bunch of this podcast and it psyched me up and gave me a lot of good advice and perspective.

Only thing that’s rough with this channel is the episodes that aren’t time stamped
