It's sounds sporty and appropriate, it's not scandalous and obnoxious as having it just straight piped

@@N5XGarage how did you deal with the top oxygen sensors ? So far what am looking at the picture what they have , they dont carry the holes to screw in the top oxygen sensors nex to the manifold.

Was this a worthy upgrade for the cost and did you feel any significant power increase. I ask because active autowerke in miami suggested I dont bother investing money into a non turbo bmw. That the cost of hearders and install would be around $1800 and I will only get single digit HP increases even with their tune.

To me, this upgrade was worth it. Did I feel any significant power increase? Yes, throttle response improved, and felt quicker. I agree with them entirely. If you're looking for power gains, the cost outweighs the results. If you install it yourself of course you can save yourself some money. As well as other cheaper header options available at less than half the cost. I didn't get a chance to get a tune, but the one I was considering was the bpc tune.

Will it pass smog with aftermarket headers?

    • @N5XGarage

Afe as far as I know aFe makes the only aftermarket headers with cats, so it should pass smog emissions testing

@@N5XGarage just straight pipe it. You wont have that tin can sound..magnaflow, flowmaster, they only sound good on v8's.

@@N5XGarage sup bro! You can actually customize your own "catback" system like i'm doing. I have a 07 e92 328i just like you, I will be installing headers in a few weeks and thanks to your video I feel more comfortable doing so!! You can fully straight pipe it with 3" stainless steel 304 tubes all the way back with a borla pro xs muffler which is not going to make your car sound that nasty, but beautiful!!

literally sounds like there's a soup can rattling around in the exhaust. By far the worst sounding setup I've heard
