Thank you Shef Sheila! These are great tips for using with prednisone! Steroids make it so difficult because of all the cravings! I too love fruit. I always have grapes that I can munch on. I will have to give the blueberries a try! I have been following your TH-cam channel for quite some time now and I LOVE your recipes. They are always so flavorful; especially your homemade salad dressings! Thanks so much!
What can be done to overcome insomnia? I’m on 60mg of prednisone for a month for autoimmune disease scarring alopecia lichen planopilaris. I’m taking it at 7am and I still sleep 5 hours a night😔
Sheila nails many things but i don't agree with eating any kind of cereal on steroids. Max carbs one slice good quality wholemeal bread per day. I have got my cravings under control by eating a near keto diet which I also calorie count.. Protein and fat fill me up for far longer than any carbs calorie for calorie. I do get sugar cravings but I make cakes from eggs, almond flour, stevia/monkfruit and fruit, cocoa powder or anything lo cal to flavour it. It comes out at 150calories per slice and is filling. But Megan is right; you gotta have a plan as the cravings WILL come. That is just so important.
