I loudly, specifically, and honestly conclude that I will not be using this again. Maybe I'll do a lil dab of it along with the wetline xtreme gel just to see what it do, but it's a no for me dawg. Because:
1) Didn't really do enough in terms of adding definition
3) The shrinkage was uneven...like hella uneven
2) As I washed it out, my hair felt like a weed tumbling through an old western movie.
STILL, we gotta give it props where they're due. It did soften my hair and never did it stand in the way of moisture because that thang was MOISTURIZED.
It overall just seemed like an unnecessary product for me in the context of my own natural hair routine. This product might be better suited for someone with a curly perm as stated on the back of the bottle.

When you put Wetline on top, you get the same softness as the Luster's gel. But the wash and go will last, and gets you the elongation and definition of Wetline. I def wouldn't use just the Luster's gel. But together they work better than just Wetline only 🔥🔥

It is not a “gel” . The word “gel” in gel curl activator just for the texture of the product. You still have to put an actual hair gel like wet line or eco styled gel.
That's why it didn't work.

you have to put the Jheri curl activator on THEN put on the eco styler gel or wet line on top of it . P.S use a good amount of the Jheri curl activator

Hmm idk I used the xtreme gel with this s curl activator on my 4c hair (and not the fake 4c who really be 4a) and I was so sad I spent 2 hours for it to turn out bad lmao (not including wash time etc)
@@rockellc7467 Maybe your hair just did NOT like that activator Lol. I have 4c hair and I tried it but It didnt work, so I was like " Oh shoot my hair dont like this stuff" sooo yeah! some people may have the same hair type as you and it STILL doesnt work on there hair :)
@@chris1_17 you right. I think a big problem with people who do wash n goes w/ 4c hair is that they expect it to come out like someone with type 3 hair when its wet. I think we just need to realize that its not the fact that it "didnt work" but we're just gonna have different results.

Ari_elle21 it doesn’t have any harmful ingredients and no buildup :) it’s super lightweight (it has a lot of humectants) but if u go overboard it’ll be sticky

Angel JC activator can be very grey and needs more to it. A gel is a STYLER product which will allow the curl activator to do its thing. Part of a hair journey is layering products to compliment each other.

Yeah, as a veteran of the 70s and 80s, the activator was put on the hair to define curls that were "permed" using the Jheri Curl curl relaxer. The activator was the daily curl refresher, so a few people with natural hair used activators but they were designed for use with texturizers or Jheri curls.

I used it recently for a wash n go and it actually worked super well for me but you have to use a gel with it because it’s just an activator. The gel will give it the hold and extra definition. I used wetline

Scurl is a really good product, this isn’t the actual gel gel product. They have a clear one which is it. This is just the gel preference from the cream/liquid.
Also the liquid version of the curl activator is very good. Idk about this gel one.

As a long time user of old school activator, I can honestly say I've never used it over a creamy product, but I have used Wetline over the activator with long lasting results.

Love this video!! I'm a girl from the eighties and sorry to tell you, this product is for processed hair. It goes with the S Curl relaxer. So in order for it to work, your hair needs to be porous like it is after chemical relaxing. The good news is, it's not for healthy, conditioned hair. It basically brings out a curl in processed hair. The pudding is better for you. 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Curl activators are awesome moisturizers but it won't hold your hair like an actual gel would. Pair it with eco styler or wetline and I bet you'll be impressed. I did and now I am obsessed with jerri juices. I'm gonna to be all types to see which one I prefer best.
Now that you mention it I used it in my daughter's hair and didn't have the reaction I saw other people had, then when I washed it out it gave new meaning to straw. My daughter's hair was a tumbleweed created in the barren desert not just a ghost town tumbleweed. I wanted to shave her head to start again. Her natural curly hair was dry to begin with but OMG this is a new level.

Too hilarious 😂! I loved your hair tutorial as always. I will have to check out the curl and twist pudding you recommended. The wave jel activator doesn't give a strong hold at all so people who aren't concerned about curl definition over several days can use it. I prefer Luster's SCurl No Drip Curl Activator Moisturizer as a leave in and Wetline Xtreme Extra Hold Gel or Krystal Eco Style Gel Maximum Hold. I live in hot and humid Maryland and my hair is moisturized from wash day for a minimum of 5 days without refreshing.

I used to use that product before I got locs and I loved it. it achieved my first successful wash and go with it but I used it along with a blue magic leave-in conditioner. It leaves my hair so soft and curly
