      I have used it quite a bit after this mod and it is far superior to the original install.

    Daze, how critical is the alignment of the stepper motor axis to that of the lead screw? How tight are the tolerances and did you just machine the holes or did you allow for adjustment?

      I drilled the holes in the brackets on a drill press but I was extremely carful to line everything up correctly. Failure to get it properly aligned will cause it to bind.

    Do you plan on upgrading this machine to ballscrews?

      I looked into it but being that I have no plan (at this point) to get into CNC there is not much reason to.
