  • I have really been enjoying posting these videos of my Keeper case collection of the things I've chipped. This case was full of memories for me and most of the pieces in this case were made between 8 - 10 years ago. I was at the peak of my knapping ability at that time and I was even surprised when I handled these points as to how thin and well chipped I got them. I have a nice little corner of the case dedicated to my local Onondaga chert and the points I made from it. I will have a few more cases coming out in the weeks ahead, and next week is another cool case like this one, so stay tuned for that video. Thanks for watching!

All, all, all are a work of art my friend. One of the great problems for a carver is to thin the stone, but you do it in a formidable way. You are amazing friend. Blessings.

    こんばんは! 美しいcollectionを見せていただきありがとうございます✨‼️ 私は、bigBraidなkillerpointを作りたいのですが、良い石が身近にありません😅。まだ小さなarrowheadぐらいしか作れてないです。

Such a awesome keeper case! I found a broadpoint about that size made of jasper, real cool i think they repurposed it as a knife. One side was sharpened way down. I love the material selection. Well made points! Very talented.

That really is a killer Copena no doubt.I agree those things are an exceptionally well made type for this area.Great variety of materials and types in that case.

There is no Copena like the one you found out there. That one set the standard really high and was the inspiration behind the point I made and put in this case.

@@Paleoman52 Thats awesome.Still amazed that that one was recovered in cultivated ground.Odds occasionally work in our favor I suppose.I still have the original and both replica attempts you sent me together in a special case.Your second attempt was as close in scale to the authentic as one could get without use of the same lithics.

I made a great friend today by being honest that he wasn't going to charge me enough on some knife river. When he said you know what? He told me he was going to send me 20lbs for just the price of shipping. Guess a few guys were trying to take advantage of him not knowing what he had. Some times it pays to always do the right thing!

Honesty is always the best way to live our lives for sure. Knife River is some really beautiful material and believe it or not a Clovis point was found on the lamb site made out of knife River. That site is about 30 miles North of me in Western new York State. It traveled approx. 1600 miles to be here.
