    Diesel boats have that issue quite often. You can get a bio side additive for the fuel I believe power Services makes a additive and I'm sure there are many other brands

    Most NAPA parts stores can make you the steel braided fuel lines, I have a 1998 Classic that NAPA made replacement lines for. I just took the old lines up to Napa and they made the lines.

    Ak get the fuel ox fuel treatment and friction eliminator, I tried it and smooths out the motor idling instantly and cleans the injectors very good. It's very strong for such a small bottle, idk how good it cleans the injectors but if it smooths out the idling instantly, I would assume it's very good at cleaning injectors. Just look at the ingredients and you can tell its good product

    Cheapest way to replace fuel lines is go to an aftermarket parts store. Take your lines and have them make exact ones. They have better hoses and at least half the price compared to the stealerships. Shit was 275 for 1 hose alone and they're cheap made

    Did you have a hard time starting the truck after replacing the fuel lines? Meaning did the fuel system catch air and not start?

    The black stuff isn’t algae is it?

    Change your air dryer filter while your under the truck. This situation happened with my Peterbilt. Fuel filter got black, I replaced it, and then my injection pump failed. $4000 later and new pump and I'm back on the road. It sucks.

    Your story about fuel lines reminds me of trying to hook up a computer with different wires. Two different things but kind of the same thing. Only question is when do you get lines for the other two smaller lines? Great video and keep on trucking!!!

    Ak, are you still having vibration issue, if so go watch western truck and tractor repair a very smart diesel mechanic he talks about drive shaft being out of time the video calls up and project something that came out tonight it's only a 9 minute video.

  • @timmay2k

    That be algae. Drain your tanks and get them steam cleaned. Cheap fuel does that.

    Pull a end dump

    • @Montoya1991
      @Montoya1991 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nah man, I've seen too many end dumps tip over and bend the frames of trucks. I've also seen the pistons snap amd slam back down as it's beign raised. Not worth tearing your truck up and you travel through gravel roads to get loaded n unloaded. Not good for the truck

    • @mavisjackson896
      @mavisjackson896 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Montoya1991 I feel you I just know here in Florida it’s all frame end dumps and it’s always work … just to keep busy just a option but it’s his truck he can do whatever

    Typical detroit injector seals failing. Carbon entering the return to fuel tank.
