I remember those chucky dolls were at our video store as a promotion and they had a giveaway for them if you rent movies you were entered. I remember wanting one so bad too

I watched the video but maybe I missed the part on video where he said $10 each...but if thats the case, this drives me nuts. This dude is cool for opening his garage for them but they are just sitting there collecting dust. If he wants $10 each then get that crap on ebay or a flea market for collectors to snag instead of sitting there.
Last year I found a mostly untouched ex video store and they wanted $3 each. Little higher than I am used to but good stuff...then when I came back next time she wanted $5 each! I was like WTF these have been sitting here for years!
Videocop at the end Dan says i paid 20 dollars for the 2 tapes. But the big box was in mint condition and rare. Ofcourse on Ebay they asked way more than 10 dollars for the big boxes. As far as i know its his personal collection ( the tapes in the garage). Dan was the lucky one to have a look.

What an awesome dream findl! Smart move not bringing too much money with you. You probably could have spent hundreds of dollars in there if you weren't careful. I hope this is the first in a 10-part miniseries. Thanks for the fun!

If that vault isn't temperature d right those tapes will develop mold. From heat and extreme moisture. Its cool to see all these old vhs tapes but its a shame the way there being stored. You passed on Gold. I saw a Scared to Death 1980 media tape. Fun little monster film that is even hard to get on dvd

With all this great stuff, its a shame that his store had to close up. You would think if you add some DVDs/Blurays to the mix with all these great VHS, a store like that would be thriving, or do people out there just stream crap all day on Amazon. I still know a lot of people that would love to go to a store like he used to have if they could.

Yes, I miss stores like that so many have closed, yet I think there is still a demand for them out there. People still like browsing in a store and physical media and many of us are just getting sick of streaming.
Danny, did u happen to see any wwf vhs tapes? Such a cool video and thanks for sharing it with us. Hopefully next time you can sit down and interview guy because id love to hear about his stories of owning a video store. Awesome job👍👍👍

VideoCop probably not in US but over here in Europe you can find some good collectors of HD DVDs anyway I'd rather he went for laser discs
Yeah LD are way cooler. I find HD DVD all the time at thrift stores and flea markets and people are nuts trying to sell them for like $5 each haha

There are a lot of cool covers on VHS, it's too bad that some Blu-ray covers look so bland. I have a Chucky doll that came out of a claw machine back in the 90s. He lost all of his hair now. Cool video!
Ron Brajkovic I totally agree the VHS cover art is king, can't be beat! I wish new cover art for flicks would look as cool but most of it ain't n missing something. Yeah that chucky thing looked like it came from a claw machine lol but I'm sure it was for video stores to hang on the window to promote the video release, I wanna try n get it

Incredible dude!VHS heaven wow! So what was the story of the last incarnation of Kensington Video store - you know the one that he opened a couple of years ago with a screen and a coffee diner - did it fail because of no interest or high rent/cost of running such a place?
Danny, TWO QUESTIONS for ya..How long did u spend there? And Weren`t you OVERCOME by the amount of goodness? Seriously I know u guys are in San Diego and i don`t know where that Guy lives but i worry that the tapes may get damaged in the HEAT, Damn that was a AWESOME VIDEO, I watched it TWICE already to see what i missed the first time. Need more from that place!! Just WOW!
