Thanks alot for showing this . I am about to paint my motorcykle with candy blue , so now it is more easy to understand how to hopefully get a ok result .
No, you haven’t lost me with elementary school algebra thank goodness. Summary: mix about 8 parts reduced intercoat clear with one part candy concentrate. Dilute to desired color saturation.
Thank you for doing this! I’ve been looking at your candys I have a project coming up and was wondering how it is mixed. When I trained you had a teal candy already mixed and in a cup. We used that instead of mixing new. I have a mailbox to dip in a skull pattern customer wants red can’t over it
Put it into a brand new can . It's only reduced , there is no hardener, Info I gained from watching videos is some paints that are basically two pot, aren't really the are two pot compatible , for the two pot clear coats . Cheers
Can you tell me how to mix voodoo violet candy concentrate. What do I need to and to a quart. This is going to be my first paint job so I decided to paint my Harley Davidson sportster thanks in advance
You can add the concentrate directly to your clear coat or you can add it to an intercoat (clear basecoat). We prefer to mix in with an intercoat. For intercoat you would mix it 50/50 with reducer and then we add in 1:10 of candy. You can adjust the candy ratio depending on how light or dark you want the candy to appear.
@larryjohnson I’m shooting a voodoo violet just like you & I was confused because I never shot a candy paint. But they said 8:1 mixing ratio so Your clear base is 4 parts The reducer 4 parts And voodoo violet “candy” 1 part. Good luck 🍀
Ciao Brian vorrei acquistare tutti i tuoi prodotti io faccio cubicatura lo faccio da mestiere e amo la cubicatura spero che voi mi potete rispondere ciao Concetti Liquidi 🎉
No, it's just an intercoat binder, which is base paint that is clear. It's not like 2k top clear that you use a hardener with to cure as a hard top coat. You must though use a top clear over top of your candy midcoat as always. Some people do (which they shouldn't) mix candy concentrate with top 2k clear but it will fade out from uv rays pretty quick. Should always mix candy as a midcoat with base clear, spray over your metallic base, then top clear
I like how simple you break things down bro
Thank you !

Also can I use other candy concetrares with your inter coat and reducer?
No hardner needed to be added?
Will the 6 to 1 mix give a wetter look? I know it will cover better. I assume it would give a better depth of color correct?
Jeeesus ur over the top dude. 10 sec video in 10 minutes... Id rather see u spraying it....
I was about to close the video at 7:00. I thought I was never gonna see you mix.
Glad you got to see it :)
Will the candy concentrate make two gallons of candy color
Can this be saved after mixing if you have leftover paint?

Intercoat and reducer wouldn't you need activator?

Is this base coat or in the clear coat
This goes in intercoat clear. It's a clear base. Some concentrates can go In a clear

I would have just said 4 + 4 + 1 and then show the result instead of watching a 10+ min video with no results
Well I am glad you tuned in anyways :) Some need a longer explanation

How do I mix smaller quantities for airbrushing? I don’t want to waste a ton of material
We use small mixing cups.
