Thank you for making this video. I am an international student and I just graduated from Penn State. I am considering a masters in systems engineering and I have been very overwhelmed with learning about GW and DC but your video helped.
Hey I received admits from GWU for MSbin information systems technology and wanted to know about living conditions like cost of living, environment and job opportunities after grad.
as an international student did you struggle finding a job in DC? i’m deciding between GW and a school in Chicago and I’m worried all the jobs in DC are government jobs and therefore only for US citizens
hi! I lived with my husband (boyfriend at that time) and we used apartmentlist.com to our help 🥰. It worked really well! I know my friends though used GWU’s own housing options and found themselves a roommate through there! there are a few fb groups as well so you may want to look into that too. :) good luck!!
Of course! Glad you liked it :) I studied my Masters there. I received merit based scholarship based on my previous academic credentials! Unfortunately I didn’t know too much about scholarships prior to moving to the US, but they have loads of opportunities to my understanding! :)
Hey. I was just considering GW for my masters in computer science. Thanks for the insights. It was extremely helpful. I just wanted to ask you if you know any areas around GW with decent rents and living expenses because from what I have heard Washington DC is extremely expensive.
How exciting! My fiance took his bachelors in computer science at GWU and was super satisfied with it, I can imagine the masters is equally as good! I’d definitely look into the Arlington area or any station on the red line from Adam’s Morgan + up to Shady grove. A little further away but you can def find good priced units around those areas!! 🌟 I know GWU do offer housing as well for graduate students so I’d look into that! It can def be costly, but if you look around you’ll find something that’s reasonable - that I’m certain of!! Good luck!!
Yes GWU is great. I am a current International Student and I'm glad I chose GWU.
