The one who left is slandered by the one who stayed, wasn't there to defend himself, and that slander goes down the generations as fact. Poor guy. I hope he eventually found someone who wanted to be with him and was honest....
Those twins might not have been conceived with a lover. Many children are born of assault. No morning after pill back then! He still might not have believed her though, but it could be it was not a good scenario all around. If by a lover, he didn't stick around either then?
Just looked him up. Even when i had a tv i never watched all those big brother celebrity chef marooned on an island things. I just have never been interested in competitions, even as a child. I only ever won a gsme if I was annoyed with the other person.
His great grandad Henry IS his great grandad. His grandad was the only child from the union between his parents. The twins (Vera and her brother that passed from TB at the age of 2) that came after his grandad, were not his great grandad Henry's children. The old girl was fooling around and poor Henry probably knew about it and that's the reason the old chap left and never returned. Poor, poor Henry. It made me so incredibly sad.
@@nikkistarr8 I watched them back to back. It's terrible the manner in which that woman portrayed great grandad Henry. This went on for 2 generations, but at least the truth is out with the 3rd generation and they will think kinder of him and honour him as he should have been. I hurt for him. I hurt for all the fathers robbed of their children. There are as many good fathers out there as there a bad mothers. I hope that you're okay after your own discovery. I wish you well.
So he didn't go to Australia, he went to Canada. Maybe he deserted the family and she knew he would not be back .... or not finding him in the British navy thought he had deserted UK. A woman would lie about her husband not being around - would be less thought of, difficulty in surviving no social services then.
@@ravenblack7052 To be fair, it is revealed in another video that Henry's grandfather had an older sister who got burned by paraffin and died from the shock. Taking a lover still wasn't the best way to deal with it, but it seems like the marriage just died after that tragedy of losing their little daughter happened.

Nope, a lover. She had a long and not discreet affair.
Funnily enough I have no idea who Greg Wallace is. I dont watch tv so am so far out of the loop my life is a tranquil backwater.

You watch on You tube though?
@@marilynvallance Well, I have to say that I too watch more TH-cam than regular TV these days.
And I don't ever watch "reality" shows.
I completely understand why Henry left his wife and child now.... Poor guy :(
How awful. So his great grandad isn't his great grandad? It's someone unknown...

I need to watch the other videos. Very sad. I've recently found my biological father so I can kinda relate in some way..

So, he joined the Canadian Navy. But wasn’t the father of the twins!
Maybe Henry learned his wife strayed and he left.
Or she could have had premature babies. Since they were twins…… it’s probable she gave birth early
Henry retired from the Royal Navy, but left his wife and kids!
