- I'm curious to know, how many of you have tried ordering food in Spanish, and how did it go?
I have met too many Americans who claim to love Latin American cuisine, but have only experienced Mexican food. Central and South America have so much more to offer than tacos and enchiladas, and today we take a deep dive into El Salvador's staple dish - pupusas.

2:29 "No tengo mucho hambre" es "No tengo muchA hambre"
Hambre al igual que agua son sustantivos femeninos pero utilizamos el artículo "el" debido a que empieza por la "A" o "HA" tónica (tonica es aquella letra en la que recae el acento)
Algunos ejemplos:
Agua - Águila (eagle) - Hambre - Hacha (Axe) - Arma (Weapon) - Alma (Soul) - Arte (Art) - Harpa o Arpa (Harp)

Brother when you order yuca it comes with cabbage but it’s not the pickle kind. It has lemon juice on it. Then you also get chicharrones pork belly cut in squares and then fried. The chicharron is what they use to make pupusas but the difference is that the square fried pork is put in a blender with raw tomato, onion, and green bell pepper.
Well I love it all! I have been to Panama a couple times and fell in love with fried yuca down there! 😋

We have many significant for Guanaco, but one stories say : the word Guanaco comes from the natives ( Indians ) of El Salvador had a meeting under of shade of a tree called Guanacaste and for this reason the people star called us Guanacos .. ... sorry my English is not good but I tried to show you one story from my country ...

If the person is from England, in Australia we call them POMES wich means Prisioner from Mother England; if you're from New Zealand we call them Kiwis.
You can also call us Salvatrucho (man from El Salvador) y Salvatrucha (woman from El Salvador).

Talking about the order of of yuca. You said platido which means side order but only in English. She didn't said platito or side dish. She used the word. Una orden de yuca "Frita" thats only served with chicharron. Nicaragua have the same with pollo. Delicious. So you asked for a side orderthe waitress dint offer a side dish but a dish of yuca con chicharron.

Yuca is also call Cassaba in Africa and is a staple For Australian Aborigines. Yuca is a less starchy potato. My gf eats it with ketchup and I just look at her like gurllll u crazyyy.

Guanaco is what thee Mayas use to call each other in cuscaltan now known as El Salvador it means brotherhood in nauatle ( spelled wrong)the language they spoke.
All the indigenous languages in central/south America fascinate me!

Además tu apenas te estas adentandro a este mundo por cierto las pupusas se pueden hacer casi de lo que sea por ejemplo: pescado, pollo, camarones, mora,chipilín, guías de cochinillo, ayote, pipian, tampupo, loroco uff hay una variedad extensa creo que sería solo aquí en El Salvador pues por lo difícil de encotrar el producto en otros lugares aah y aquí tememos un "Pupusodromo" sí no es broma hay un pupusodromo ya te imaginarás jejeje tal vez algún día te ánimas visitar nuestro querido El Salvador y degustas los 114 platillos típicos y sus derivados uuhh papa no te vas a quere ir jajaja

La yuca puede comerse salcochada o frita, con pescas o chicharrones, pero tiene que quedar blandita esa es la clave, no todo mundo la puede hacer.
Las pupusas se comen con la mano y las variedades de estas son más de 10, la salsa y el curtido.
El curtido se prepara de diferentes formas, hay personas que le ponen orégano otras con mayonesa, otras con vinagre, depende de los gustos de cada quien, pero dos ingredientes son la clave, frijoles licuados bien fritos y el queso achiclado que no debe faltar en ninguna especialidad.
Entonces deberia probar todas las opciones?! 😋

They only serve the whole entre of yuca con chicharrón! If you take it home n if you have an air fryer they heat up the yuca n chicharrón

Me alegra mucho que pruebes la comida salvadoreña, es de las más variadas y deliciosas del mundo.
El Guanaco es un animal andino pequeño (Sur América) parecido a las llamas. Se caracteriza por ser un animal muy "metiche" 😂 Los cazadores hacen cualquier ruido, los Guanacos se asoman y los cazadores los atrapan 😂😂😂
