I switched to the 6 pro from an iphone 12 pro. I ended up taking the 6 pro back to the store though. Awesome phone and very useful, but it had issues with staying connected to my service provider. Even if I didn't move a muscle. I think it was a cool phone. But I need service. I looked online and it wasn't just me, and it wasn't at&t. It was the phone. I can take minor issues and be okay with it, but a phone without service a majority of the day is just an expensive paper weight. I hope it works out better for you though! googles interface was very user friendly and clean. Also, the battery life was pretty good, but I expected a phone with 5,000 mAh battery to be better. My iphone 12 pro has better battery life. Also couldn't stand sending pictures and then they'd look like it was taken with a potato (but that's any android phone I've used).

Also, the phone doesn't actually charge at 30 watts. It actually felt like it was slower than 20 watts. It always took 2 hours for a full charge. Which sucks when they marketed a 30 watt charging adapter and capability.

Enjoy it! I actually switched myself and I have really been super impressed. It's really refreshing having something different than basically the same iOS. The camera is amazing, the software is excellent with stock android. The adaptive battery actually tunes itself to it's user over time which is great. The phone design itself I believe is one of the best on the market right now. I'm happy with it.

I agree with Amb. I switched from a oneplus to the 13 pro, and Siri just kinda feels like google assistant if google assistant lost 100 IQ and was void of personality. Google assistant is much faster and more intelligent. I don't recommend going iPhone if you care about assistants. Now you can actually use google assistant on iPhone, but it's a separate app as opposed to built in which kinda defeats the purpose.

I've got a Pixel 6 non-Pro version from AT&t and I love it. Now I came from iPhone 11 and I was due for an upgrade and going in. I was simply going to get the 13 or the 13 pro Max. However, while I was in the store I had the sudden urge to tell myself that this time I'm going to do something different and I did and I'm happy I did. Now there's a couple of things I don't like about it. Primarily it seems to be software based, not hardware based. For one notifications like text messages and emails will when the phone is locked, 90% of the time alert me with a sound to the message or email. Although that 10% of the time, The message notification noise doesn't sound but the message shows up anyway and then it's only later when I look at my phone that I notice I have a message. I've tried all the settings and everything and nothing seems to help. However, I've noticed it getting better. The more I use the phone oddly enough. The other thing I'm not really a fan of is the oddity of the battery. Now most days I work early and I get up at 4:00. Take a shower, get ready and leave the house by 4:30. During that 30 minute. I usually will watch videos or at least listen to them and have the phone on while doing so now since having the phone a week I notice some days doing that from 100% eats away at 15 % of battery life and some days doing the exact same thing only eats away to 3% so it's kind of odd. And I'm not quite sure why doing the same activity would consume more or less battery. But on the whole I like the phone and I'm glad I got it and is a welcome change from iPhone

I came from 12 Pro Max to 6 Pro and I loved the phone at first, but after going to a concert last night and taking videos. The video quality image and sound is terrible on this phone.
My wife took videos on her 12 Pro Max flawless, good clean image, no grain what so ever and the sound quality was superb!
The pixel video was very grainy, The sound was very distorted. It sounded like I was recording a song playing on blown speakers.
Photos on the 6 Pro are great! In my opinion there are times that a photo looks better on the iPhone 12 Pro Max and times it looks better on the Pixel 6 Pro. Satisfied with the camera on the Pixel 6 Pro, video is trash.
I got a decision to make. I may return the pixel 6 Pro this week and get a iPhone 13 Pro Max. I haven't decided but I'm not going to have a phone that takes terrible videos.

It has adaptive battery that's why it's doing that. It learns your usage behaviors and in a week or two completely optimizes. I personally HATE the old school wannabe retro "aesthetic" of the iPhone so I'm getting the Pixel. I have an S21 Ultra now, really not happy with it at all.

I wanted to love the pixel, I did for the first two weeks but after that first two weeks it’s flaws started to show. I know they are good devices but I don't see myself ever switching to Apple.

I didn’t know apple slowed down iPhones, like a dummy I upgrade every year for those new features. But I think I’m going to stop doing that unless there’s a major upgrade from now on.
I do wish iPhone had always on display and google assistant by default instead of Siri.

I went from a OnePlus 8 to the 13 pro, and tbh it's a fantastic device, but I will say this: you have to accept that you're going to forego a lot of freedom making the switch. Lots of things will work better, but some things that seemed so simple to do on android become kinda impossible on iPhone. As long as you can look past that and feel like you're gonna leverage some of the features specific to iPhones that you can't get on android, it's worth it. To be completely honest my 13 pro is very reminiscent of my old Essential PH1, and that was one of my favorite phones ever in terms of size/build. It's just the right size for me, and I love the stainless steel frame and flat front/back. I really hated the curved screens on my oneplus 7 pro and oneplus 8.

I wanted to go get the Google pixel 6 pro so bad for my upgrade through Att but there were 2 reasons why I chose to upgrade from my iPhone XS Max to the iPhone 13 Pro Max; Availability and Social Circle. I ordered the Pixel 6 Pro and was greeted with a “Phone will be delivered by February” at that time it was only early December. I didn’t want to wait 3 months for my phone to come in and no store nearby had it in stock. And as far as my social circle, literally EVERYONE has an iPhone. Wife, Mother, Sisters, Cousins, Friends and even Co-Workers. Being that I get terrible signal within the building I work in, iMessage comes in clutch with access to wifi. My family also like to have group face time calls frequently. Paying people with Apple Pay is so seem less. Air drop is so handy. The list could go on. With all that being said, having the 13 Pro Max for about a month now I still can’t help but to wonder what the Pixel 6 Pro would’ve felt like in my hand. I just might use my wife’s upgrade to have it after all. 🤷🏽‍♂️😏

I had to go with the iPhone 13 Pro because I have a buddy who works there and got me 15% off, so it was $849 as opposed to 999, but part of me still kinda wishes I considered the P6 more; I came from several generations of OnePlus devices with a few iPhones in between, and with the direction they're going now, I had no interest in the 9 pro or any of their future devices. I do really like the 13 pro, though, especially its size. I have big hands and the standard pro feels just right size wize, pro max feels like only shaq could use it comfortably.

Long term iPhone user. The pixel 6 piqued my interest. So I went to upgrade my phone to the pixel 6. It’s a really good phone but me being use to iOS I couldn’t keep with it. Traded it in for the 13 pro after a couple days. The pixel 6 is way bigger than the 13 pro, I don’t like really big phones. But the fingerprint unlock sucks ass. I like the face unlock bc you can quickly pull out your phone look at it and it unlock. Yes you can customize your phone but with android 12 material u it’s hardly customizable anymore unless you want to lose features. The new translation feature didn’t work as good. If everyone I knew wasn’t on iPhone. I would have probably kept it. But since everyone I know is on iPhone it makes everything easier when sending messages, sending links, tap to reply on a message, FaceTime etc. to be honest If you’re keen on getting the p6 I’d wait. Google is only giving it 3 years of android updates on top of that the phones battery drains really quickly and is very slow to charge. Id wait for the p7 or go with the Samsung s22 but to each their own.

I guess what I miss most about android is how fun it is, but I’m sticking with iPhone for the time being for similar reasons to you; my whole family rocks them, and most of my close friends. Personally, I’d take an under display TouchID over FaceID, but I’m using an Apple Watch which lets you unlock the phone with a mask on which kind of mitigates the one biggest issue I had with FaceID. I’ll wait and see what the pixel 7 brings to the table; the s22 seems like a great phone, but I’m more of a vanilla android with the freedom to flash kind of guy; I don’t fancy Samsungs apple-like approach to android.

I am a long time IOS user, but have grown very bored with it. Lack of customization, big clunky notch, no real hardware upgrades, year after year it’s the same old stuff. Seems that with each new iPhone release Apple will give you one thing that android has been using for the past 3 or more years (Just look how long it took Apple to move over to OLED!!) and then call it something different, make out like they were the ones that created it, and charge $1k+ for basically the same crap you have been getting for the past 5 years. Apple stopped being innovative when Jobs died. iPhone 12 changed the design to the same as the iPhone 4-5. So… they went backwards!!! SMH.

First thing, i'm not knocking the Pixels, i really like the phones, there is just some hardware choices that should be known. The Pixel does not have the latest and greatest or the fastest SOC. 1st its 5G modem is Samsungs Exynos 5123 and is only comparable to Qualcomm's X55 modem. The Tensor SOC has 2 X1 ARM cores but its mid-cores are ARM's Cortex A76 cores which were used on the Snapdragon 855. It barely breaks 2800 on Geek Bench 5's multi core test, which test Floating Point and integer calculations. I have an LG V40 that gets 2500. It has a Snapdragon 845 from 2018. It uses ARM's Cortex A75 cores.
Also, Tensor's ARM Mali-G78 MP20 GPU is 4 cores shy to the Kirin's 9000 fully loaded ARM Mali-G78 MP24 24 core monster. Each of ARM's GPU cores has 128eu's, adding up to 3,072eu's, in the MP24. It's rated at 2.6Tflops of FP32 compute. Google tailored the Tensor SOC to be compute heavy. Even though its 4 cores short of ARM's full 24 core variant of its 2nd Gen Valhal GPU, its still a beast. Rated at 2.2Terflops of FP32. The Mali-G78 GPU is designed for the Vulkan API and compute is it's game. The Kirin 9000 (in the Mate 40 Pro) which has 15.2 Billion transistors was the first to market with a 5nm 15+ Billion transistor SOC. Sorry Flapple... Now, the Goolge Tensor has unmatched peak boost performance but its sustained performance is behind. Basically matching the Snapdragon 865. Being that Google's Tensor is made by Samsung's 1st Gen 5nm EUV lithography, the Snapdragon 865 is made on TSMC's 2nd Gen 7nm node. SOC's made by TSMC seems to have better thermals and less throttling. I don't think its a coincidence. nVIDiA's Ampere GPU is made on Samsungs 3rd Gen 10nm node but calls it 8nm. AMD's Navi2 based GPU is made on TSMC's 3rd Gen 7nm and can clock up to 3GHz plus, while nVIDiA's Ampere GPU is stuck at 2-2.2GHz. Yeah, the architecture is different but, i bet if nVIDiA's 3090 was made at TSMC, it would have better clocks and thernal characteristics. Maybe the Pixel 7 might use a derivative of Samsungs Exynos 2200 SOC. The AMD 6cu or 8cu Navi23 GPU do.

Notches aren't appealing, that's true, but to me the hole isn't any better because the notch somehow fits into the screen since it's wider, whereas the hole looks disconnected from the screen and on the light mode it attracts attention.

And it’s funny to see that the Pixel with its 50 mega pixel camera does not make considerably better photos than the iPhones 12 mega pixel camera. and the iphone is still more expensive ahem. anyways its pretty much clear glass similar to the s20 if you've ever seen one. also the notch thing is just personal preference like i like the notch on the pixel cuz it makes the phone not wobble when staying flat like every other phone i miss s10 days. also megapixels don't exactly determine photo output but it is a factor for sure but its more complicated than just that.

@@sireajeel5009 it’s more expensive because it’s better, that simple.
