Looks fantastic. I’m waiting for the weather to warm up to finish a few ZX7 complete resprays. This is one of my top channels on TH-cam; look forward to new episodes.
Thanks 👍. I really appreciate you watching and commenting!
WOW, what a transformation, if I had a CB350 I'd be more than happy to have that paint set on it, 👍😎.
Thanks 👍
Excellent job, watched 5 of your downloads so far, and love them all, keep them coming!
Thanks, will do!
Perhaps you can feature your friend's CB350f on your channel. They are attention-getters and packed with features and engineering of their larger brothers. This segment matured into the small, high-revving sport bikes that anchor your collection!
Yes I’m trying to get a video of his collection ( very large)
Brilliant results , exhibition worthy .
Many thanks
Man I'm still kicking myself for not taking on of those from a friend who wanted to give me one for nothing years ago. I thought, what am I going to do with it. Can't wait to see it finished.
This one I just did the paint work for a friend of mine. I’m not doing the full restoration, he is taking care of the rest of it , but the paint turned out great. Thanks for commenting again!
Another great video. I'm impressed with your paint skills. I've found a sort of local painter (I'm in Niagara Falls and they're in Scarborough) to do my 80 CBX but can't find one for my 1985 Honda VF1000r. Are you interested in doing it? Sort of serious here or maybe you know of someone south of you?
Thanks Lorne, Appreciate the compliment. I may be interested in the spring. You’d have to see my work first hand to be comfortable with it. I’m still a rookie at this, getting coached by a pro body man.
I’m near North Bay, so that’s a fair ways away
It is hard to find places willing to paint bikes, they’re time consuming and occupy the booth real-estate for a long time so shops can’t run cars through the booth . They can paint 3 or 4 cars through (at least) in the time it takes to do some bike paint.
When I did my buddy’s VF1000R or my ZX7 it was all in the booth for 48 hours between setup and take down, and it took 11 hours to paint it all.
Hence the bodyshops can make way more $ painting cars. Or they charge a fortune to do a bike.
Very nice work ! Do u do this free of charge to friends or is a part time paid thing u do nice work
I do charge, but a lot Les than a pro body/paint shop because I’m still learning and also I’m not trying to make a living off it.
Over here very few body shops will touch motorcycle parts, All they want is auto collision work (there are a variety of reasons for that).
As I get more experience I’ll do more for other people.
I’m fortunate I have a friend who is a pro body and paint man and has his own booth, so he has been teaching me this year.
I find these paint and body videos very interesting. Nice work as always!
