    This were my first pair of skates and I still use them(it's a second year of skating for me). The bolt is the only issue you need to be aware of. I used them as a complete novice, I'm still using them and I plan to upgrade to 4x90 in the future. While there are some wear and tear, it's only cosmetic and I don't have any problems whatsoever. Would definitely recommend as a first choice for a beginner, since my ride was fantastic so far.

      I agree, I think these are ideal skates for beginners, that will last a while.

      i experienced problems with the front and rear bolts recently. those bolts are different than the two middle ones. the rear and front bolts have trouble tightening. those bolts are two parts instead of one (the bolt and the screw that goes into the bolt), unlike the two center bolts, which are just bolts. the rear and front bolts won't go all the way down, making it difficult to really tighten the screws. otherwise, like you said, good beginner skates. I wouldn't buy skates from them that use these two part bolts tho. I think they are rockering bolts or something

      @@Icecube88 I think we're talking about different things here 😅 I was talking about the bolt that tightens the cuff(the cuffscrew). And you're talking about the bolts on the frame, if I'm not mistaken. If you're experiencing problems with the bolts on the frame, it highly likely that the frame itself is the problem.

      oh lol. yeah I was thinking the frame hole was messed up, but I was hoping that wouldn't be the case. thanks.@@yroslav541

      @@Icecube88 before jumping to conclusions, though, check if the bolt itself is ok. While it's still highly likely that the frame is at fault, it can be that something happened to the bolts. I've had a similar issue, after some time(and some rough skating with a lot of jumps) my frame got a bit screwed.

    Putting a bit of blue locktight on bolts will help to help them taught.

    Nice. I have the F5S ECLIPSE. My first and only 80mm wheel skates. I like them except for the front part cutting into my shins after a while of skating.

      I think they are very similar. I’ve never had any discomfort issues at all with these skates.

    how is sizing? true to size? what size do you use?

    • @RichHayterSkater
      @RichHayterSkater  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, these fit true to size. If in doubt go a half size up.

    I have been rollin on my MF500 for almost a year and i have just mounted Rockin' MIX4 100/90 to get more speed and balance. I have never been in a skatepark yet but i would like to try and learn how to pump half pipe do i need aggresive skates for that or is my setup good enough? I always thought Aggressive skates are made just for grinding. Is there any benefit using Aggresive skates if i am not grinding? Like stability? I believe MF500 are Freestyle skates so its not a full hard shell.

      I’m not an aggressive skater, but I think your setup will work for what you want to do.
      Aggressive skates are low and generally slower than freestyle skates, so they offer good stability for jumps and transitions, but they don’t carve as well, due to their thicker frames and soul plates.
      If you’re just learning to pump ramps, your setup will work, but it will be fast, so go easy!

    Hey Rich, i love your channel as a beginner skater but i think you should use de-esser or reduce the treble when editing. Your sibilance is piercing when you talk. Great stuff as always man 👍

    Hows compare to micro MT+ ?

    • @RichHayterSkater
      @RichHayterSkater  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Have never tried Micro skates, but these are probably quite similar. The F4 come with abec7 bearings, where the Micro have abec5.

    Hi sir which one is better Flying eagle f4s or f5s??

    • @RichHayterSkater
      @RichHayterSkater  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I’ve never used the F5, but I think the only difference seems to be the rockerable frames on the F5.

    Does the cuff feel stiff for you?

    • @RichHayterSkater
      @RichHayterSkater  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The cuff feels plenty supportive, you just need to be aware that the cuff bolts have a tendency to come loose! Tighten them regularly.
