I’m an East African who grew up and still is obsessed with Bollywood and India in general. Like Bollywood was my entire childhood! Your video was so well written! It gave such a refreshing and interesting take on the industry! I ate every single minute uppp!! Such great work. I can’t wait to watch more of your work! I would love to hear your thoughts on the subtle film renaissance happening in Bollywood with actors like Nawazuddin Siddiqui,Raj Kumar Rao, Rhadika Apte, Sanya Malhotra and even Ayushmann Khurrana (hopefully they aren’t nepo babies too lol). I have noticed a huge shift in themes, tones, and subject matters discussed in films now and I absolutely love it!
South India has nepo problem as well in films but nowhere near as bad as bollywood, most South Indian film families are one 2nd gen, oldest on third gen, Bollywood has 5 generation families lmao, kids whose grandparents were born into acting and never did anything besides that.
This is a really good video with impressive production quality, jokes and information. Indian youtubers don't usually make this kind of deep dives. I've only seen such content from English speaking people (mostly Americans) about topics relevant in their popular culture. But to see such a video on an Indian topic was a fresh experience!
This is some good quality content! And finally a Punjabi commentator!! We need this for Punjabi movie industry too (someone needs to talk about it, and oh lord I have so much to say, especially about the content we’ve been putting out), oh God I’ve been waiting for it.
As an Indian who grew up abroad and loves watching commentary, discovering your channel literally improved my youtube experience so much. Your videos are so well edited and funny too, I subbed instantly as soon as I watched the intro, totally well deserved. This is a great video and you presented some very thought provoking points. I also really liked how you did a good amount of research too and structured the video accordingly. Hope you get more recognition for your work!
5 minutes in but im already in love with this video... sharing it with literally every person i know!! production on this is so good for this amount of exposure, glad YT's algorithm is finally doing good :)
now this is something. it's rare on youtube, something so well done, such high production quality, from a small channel who hasn't even hit a thousand subscribers yet. much care was put into this video and it's very apparent. I havent even watched many bollywood movies but I'm still gonna watch this video to the end lol. goodluck to your channel, keep making amazing stuff :)) I especially love the music for the titles!
South India has nepo problem as well in films but nowhere near as bad as bollywood, most South Indian film families are one 2nd gen, oldest on third gen, Bollywood has 5 generation families lmao, kids whose grandparents were born into acting and never did anything besides that.
ok then I'd rather watch a 50 min TH-cam video of this guy than a movie, because here is where talent lies. Edit: I am his 487th Subscriber if he becomes famous I'll know. ha ha ha
I am not done with the video yet, but I think a main issue with nepotism is the fact that art, as a whole, has become a privilege, when it is actually something that makes us inherently human. You need the type of financial security and connections available to the 1% to even be able to get to do creative work for a living, which leaves out a whole chunk of people and human experiences. I'd argue you can see the effect on screen, with a lot of lackluster writing and stale acting performances, but that is my personal view. There are certain, limited ways to get lucky. For example, I am a novelist & illustrator, with an agent and signed under a publishing firm. But the time and the ressources to write came from having a steady scholarship for my (non writing related) University studies. Would I love to be a screenwriter or a bestseller one day? Of course I do. Is it more likely that I am just going to be replaced by ai instead, because I'm just a middle-class-nobody underdeserving of said humanness in the eyes of the rich and famous? Probably.
Enjoyed this format of a chill yap session with a script and comedy skit bits. Keep it up with the good work! Also would like to know your view on how Bollywood potrays punjabis and how regional Punjabi movies potrays punjabis.
Thank you appreciate it 🙏🏾. Actually there's an Indian comedian by the name of Jaspreet Singh who has a series called Jassi doesn't like and he has a vid about what your talking about. It's the first ep, I thought it was pretty good. Maybe if I can find a good angle I might make a vid on it.
My best friend introduced me to Bollywood. She is now married to a Punjabi dude. I sent your video to her 😂 awesome video man, frickin hilarious & informative. (Also lmfao at that f*m*ly matters, Ify Nwadiwe, euphoria, etc surprise references 😂) (Also also thank you for the captions, it has some html showing on it but im not sure if it’s a glitch on my end)
It's a good thing to uplift other men who deserves the attention and he certainly does but I think their is a gender biased biased where a girl youtuber with this kind of content would be thrashed and badly insulted and laughed by guys like you. The hypocrisy is too clear to ignore

nepotism or preferential treatment in friend circles will always be there. What is insufferable is totally talentless irredemable folks continuing to get opprutunities. Id say seeing varun dhawan and alia bhat had potential is the better aspects of nepotism. Whats troubling and distrubing is someone like ananya pandey getting oppurtunities
I had an AD job in the industry. I'm an outsider. In the US, its called a PA. If your father is in the industry, then the AD job is GIVEN to you just to be on set before you go on to get a chance as an actor. I highly doubt a star kid AD is actually treated like a regular PA.

19:52 8cr today would not be 294cr, you misread that. it's 29.4 cr which is also the highest possible estimate. the figure would be more like 19-23cr.
South Indian film industry nepotism laughs when people call bollywood nepo industry 😂😂😂
@@dufus360 I often wonder about that because I see the same faces on those films

I don't understand why this video has such less likes and comments. The production is awesome.
Hey man at least you're here, thank you so much 🙏🏾
Because people disagreed with the story
the quality is insane, the editing, dialogues and humor !!!!!
