I would agree that the Sj is better. The quality of both in the tree area's is telling as the cameras struggle to focus but the SJ still does a better job. Once out of those area's and onto the roads its a much better picture. I have several including a Hero, Contour 2+ and several clones, this is the nicest and I will be buying one. Thx for the review.
sj5000 shows more clarity than the GoPro. I would definetely go for a SJ to purchase. Hope I'm wrong, but most of the GoPro videos on youtube are EDITED (I mean, added more bright and contrast). A REAL image quality of the GoPro (at least Hero 3) is what you see on this video.
No. Dynamic range of SJ5000 sucks. Look at the sky. GoPro footage can be sharpened ;) Also SJ5000 makes very low quality photos. But the price... Tnx for good comparison!

Ich finde die SJ5000 auch deutlich besser. Insgesamt ein besserer Weißabgleich und einfach ein schärferes Bild. Die Gopro ist mir einfach zu gelb/rot- stichig Ausserdem wirkt das Bild immer als wäre gerade leichter Smog. Die Scene als du aus dem Tunnel kommst: da ist die Gopro ja völlig überfordert. Ich habe auch schon einiges getestet. Erst hatte ich einige Zeit die SJ4000. Grundsätzlich eine gelungene Cam, aber leider zu Blaustichig. Da muss man jedes Video noch nachbearbeiten. Eken H9, guter Weißabgleich, aber kontrast und schärfe völlig überrissen und nicht einstellbar. Eken H8 plus: meiner Meinung nach die beste Cam auf dem Markt, aber leider steckt die firmware noch in den Kinderschuhen und die Cam hängt sich ständig auf. Die SJ5000 ist einfach durchdacht, solide, robust, zuverlässig, hat eine sehr guten Weissabgleich und unzählige Einstellmöglichkeiten (Schärfe, Weissabgleich, ISO, Belichtungskorrektur usw.) Nicht zu vergessen Timelapse, Serienbild und einen DIGITALZOOM! Der ist aber nur bis 4-Fach verwendbar, darüber hinaus leidet die Bildqualität enorm. Zu Deinem Video: Grundsätzlich nicht schlecht, aber du solltest so was machen, wenn draußen alles Grün ist. Im Winterhalbjahr sind einfach zu wenig Farben um den Weißabgleich vernünftig zu beurteilen. Und viele Action cams tun sich gerade mit Grüntönen sehr schwer...

Sj5000 is perfect.. I did some time lapse videos of sunrises.. Very satisfied witg it... Gopro is good...but sj5000 does better

SJ clips the highlights and has much narrower field of view. It's good for the price but nowhere near Gopro.
