As far as I can remember back in 1991 when I first saw their performance at The Battle of the Bands sponsored by San Miguel Beer which held at the grounds of University of Santo Tomas the original members were Dodong Cruz (vocalist guitarist), Robert Javier (back up vocals bassist) and Joseph "Erap" Carasco (drummer). They were called the great trio a Nirvana of the Philippines.
The first band name was DAWOL (The Wall) and then they changed it to The Youth.
After a few weeks I first heard their airwaves playing at DWLA 105.9 FM. Thanks to that radio station who gives chance to new blood of real pinoy music.
