    Sounds so good. I'm trying to decide if I should buy one of these used to play live.

    Thank you very much! While this is not the kind of sound I usually like to use it's great to see some blocks that I'm not familiar with in live action.

    Really like the Axe Fx because it sounds so modern. Polyphia is a great example of how I like it. Yes, it's a bit "plastic", but that's really awesome how clean it sounds. No need for it to be 100% to the original amp in my opinion. It just has to sound great, which it does :)

    I'm still a bit of a noob to my Axe-Fx II, but I was surprised to see you put the cab last... AFTER the reverb block(s). I'm curious why. Is it just a matter of taste, or is there actually a right/wrong order? In the meantime, I'll experiment with this to see how it sounds. All this time, it never occurred to me to put the cab dead last in the chain.

      @withfoamable 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bobby Davis He put it last, I think, because there's the option to send the signal to output 2 to a cab onstage. In this case, he wants to send the sounds with all effects without any cab simulation to a real life cab, but then FOH gets a direct cab simulated sound.

    I have just purchased the FXII XL+ and neither the amp model "Wrecker 1" or the cab model "TAF_Mars1x12_Mix" is in the respective options. Can someone please explain where or how I can get these for uploading? Cheers

      Ian Wicks join the forum and ask there. Both of those are in the Axe. You are probably looking under presets instead of in the actual amp models.

    Where can you get the taf cab? I have axe fx 2 fw 15.

    • @MostlyElectrolytes
      @MostlyElectrolytes 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pretty sure that it's in the firmware update zip file. There's some ultrarez IR's that Cliff got the developers to share for free. With that said the TAF IR's that Andy makes are worth the money; not the biggest collection of all time, but definitely one of the most ready for primetime IMHO.

    I am still having trouble finding the TAF CAB i updated to fw 16 i just have a regular axe fx 2

      TAF IR is in the earlier update zip i.e : axefx2_15p02.zip and earlier update.

    If I am using a full range speaker, should I use the FXLoop out or should I use the speaker emulated output?

  • @danwguitar8651
    @danwguitar8651 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey Cooper, I have a quick question for you. Is there a way to stimulate the fx loop on each amp model? What I mean is, can you insert effects between the preamp and power amp sections of an amp like on a real amp head? I don't own an axe fx 2 yet, but I am highly considering one soon since I haven't the room or sound isolation for my jcm 2000 in my new apartment.

    My Experience with Live vs Studio patch setting is that you cant really tune your patches to sound good live at a low bedroom/studio levels even using FRFR monitors you would truly have to crank the volumes and set proper frequencies and tone to the volume as it will all change .....the higher the volume the more of a frequ3ncy shift happens ....also no reverb for live use it will sound to muddy and boomy all around ....live room already gives plenty of natural reverb ......just my few points .....also run the patches mono....easier to mix in the band .

    Thank you! Great video. Very informative. Love that lead tone you got (scene 4 I think?). I liked all the effects you dialed in except the Leslie Just doesn't sound right to me. But that's got nothing to do with the quality and value of this vid. Awesome.

    -1.5 would clip on my settings. I have to keep my amps at ~ -25dB

    question for live, i'm a metal hi gain user axe fx2, someone have a *kind of global trick* to set the amp setting for live? i ask because, its not everyone have a full FRFR system at home to set is sound correctly to deal particulary with Bass and High frequency with the Sub and horn, to fix *crispy high freq* and the low end freq and lvl. And if you play on a big stage, your preset is not necessarily set for the big FRFR vs our home frfr.... tanks!!!!!

      Good studio monitors works for me, have used and axe fx ultra for the past 2 years and only used my genelec 8010 as reference. It has sounded the same live for me.

    would it kill you to tune that thing a little better before you bang on chords for 30 minutes?

      I think the tremolo effect just does that. He also mentioned he is using Detune effect.
