    That's a band giving everything they have on stage. Having been fortunate enough to have seen them numerous times throughout the 90's and 2000's, I can tell you with the utmost confidence that the energy and force that comes from their live performances is enormously profound...and if you're tuned into the message behind the music, then it's potentially life-changing, as it was for me. I've seen lots of bands live, many festivals, Lollapaloozas, etc, and I've never been moved like I have from a Rage show.

    They were just touring. Zack was injured in one of the concerts (he needs to stretch before going mental) so the tour was cut short and lots of people missed out.

    Lots of great videos of bands that played Pink Pop. Pearl Jam 1992 is another good one.

    The person that said they recently toured the west coast was mistaken. They did mostly east coast last year, then had to cancel because of Zack’s injury. I’m waiting very patiently hoping they announce another tour once he’s healed 🙏🏼

      Here’s where he got hurt, it was only the second or third show. They continued for a couple months with him sitting, but he needed more treatment. th-cam.com/video/YKrI-jGLaw4/w-d-xo.html

    Been a massive fan of RATM for over 20 years, I would die happy if I ever got to see them live. That would be one of absolute the highlights of my life if I am lucky enough to live twice my age now. RATM are genuinely my heroes and had a huge part in shaping not only my music taste but who I am as a person, especially my political beliefs. I just wish more people had heard their message when they first put it out, the world might have been a very different place.

    I know this is old footage but anyone know why Tim performs on that mat/rug?

    • @MarlonRichert
      @MarlonRichert ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He had a cast around his right foot. Look closely; it’s dark blue. Don’t know if it was broken or just sprained severely. They do like to perform on carpets in general, though. For example: th-cam.com/video/n6njrf_zHfw/w-d-xo.html

    There has not been any artist/band in any genre of music that's had anything of importance to say about anything in the world since Rage.
    Name one in the last 20 years. Before the 90's......there were plenty of pioneers who made a difference in music like Sam Cooke, Bob Dylan, Stones, Beatles, and many who spoke out on social issues. Todays artists are weak.

    Unfortunately they had to cancel their tour because Zack tore up a tendon in his leg. Run the Jewels was going to open up for them - that was going to be AMAZING. Zack is on a couple of their tracks - Close your eyes and count to fuck is a great song. I did get to see them live in '93 at a much smaller Rock for Choice show at the Hollywood Palladium (which is an indoor venue that holds maybe 2000 people). I had heard a couple of their tracks on the radio - Killing in the Name and Bombtrack, I think - but I actually went to see a different band. In the end they absolutely destroyed that show - put all the other bands to shame really - the energy was off the charts and in such a small enclosed space EVERYONE was exhausted in the best possible way at the end of their set. Made me a life long fan. I also just read that Tim Commerford was diagnosed with prostate cancer which I guess he has been battling for some time, so best thoughts need go out to him. Tim and Zack NEED to get well again!! In times like this, the world needs Rage now more than ever
