As a full time medic in Star Citizen, I salute you, I use both the C8R and the Cutty Red (loaner for my Apollo), and no other game loop I've tried, has kept me as interested, as being a medic for the last year, it's such a fun journey. Enjoy being a medic more :D
Medical beacons are harder than it seems. You need to be ready in an instant and equipped for all situations, which includes weapons, a car and a ship that can take you from one end of Stanton to the other with the fastest QD, and even be stations in Hurston space if possible. Otherwise your client will be waiting for half an hour after you ran 2km across mountains just to get shot by the same enemies.
Without a proper reputation system, it's going to only get harder. This is why MEDRUNNER is so popular, its a reliable way to get rescued, since you're in constant communication with them when you put in an alert, and they have something like 3,000 members and a 97% success rate. Much better than hoping the person who got your medical beacon is going to A) get to you and rescue, and B) isn't going to kill you and loot you.
I think the system would be much better if a new beacon started from the target location and expanded in a sphere - ie. nearby players get the beacon notification first. This would give close players a few extra seconds to respond first. A few weeks back I was at Tressler and someone else was there in the same station - they sent a beacon for transport and someone in Crusader immediately grabbed the beacon. I was about to leave and it would have been no more than 20 seconds wait time but they ended up having to wait for the person from Crusader to swap ships and QT all the way there... for a hop to New Babbage!! This would also give NON Medrunner players or Orgs a chance - I belong to one such Org.
Remember to manage correctly your power triangle because if you let it in the middle it's not giving you any bonus the kyebinds are f5 to f7 and f8 for rest but you have to move them to keys more accessible. An other issue with medics is the fact you dont have access to restricted area where the victim is for the moment i hope it will change
I always forget that it’s there teehee noted. But I wish with the cutty red/blue you can do more with them, like you said goto restricted areas and what not
Random medic picked me up in the verse and saved me from losing all my favorite gear. He could have finished me and looting my stuff but did not. Tipped him a million.
Hate to ask and break the role-play, but why would any player, for sake of convenience and time-saving, want to wait for a medic coming from anywhere in the system, rather than just backspace and go on with their day.
So as to not lose gear/equipment that may not be stock. I've an evergreen FS-9 with laser sight, and replacing it would be very difficult, same with my "Boneyartd" Coda, not to mention a ship that may be fully loaded with loot, ground vehicle, etc
Most reasons were already be told, also later it will be implamanted to have negative effects to die so medics are more needed, and already getting some practice in can help.
Dude, you need to slap an S.T.V. in the back for guys downed in bunkers with turrets,I enjoy med play and having a quick little "ambulance" in back comes in handy
Whn a ship is destroyed, the pilot should have a chance to be incapacitated, depending on which part blew up. That would make medic gameplay more prevalent.
multi-crewed sorta reclaimer sized, vehicle bay (gotta have a couple of rides) buggy of sorts you can throw a body in if area is too hot to stabilize. i'd lend hand with keeping a ship like that running 👍

It was fairly difficult to snag a med beacon, but it was worth the wait

J.D., you nailed it. Player beacons are the only things in the game where another person is waiting in real time for someone to show up.

the part where the medic saved the prisoner then danced
Friendships were made that day 🤝
You missed your chance to use the spotlight. The turret spot is a flood light use this to light up the player you are saving.
Awesome to see Medic runs, cool footage thanks again Hilo
Glad you enjoyed o7
not many fellas like you out in the verse! keep on keepin on
Firm handshake 🤝
I do medic stuff in the Cutlass Red, with the OD green looking paint and STV.
imagine when you looked out the window at the new player running back, they just happened to get shot dead immediately the moment you looked out.
Its fun watching new ppl find and enjoy star !
its good to have medics around! Would play more often but missions are often rare for me
get back out there soldier o7

Can you send the patient a party invite to gain access?
@@festersmith8352 it's not working like this sadly and the player down canot share the mission
Excellent adventure, buddy!
Glad you enjoyed it o7

Rare loot most likely, or just an highly paid mission, I see where you’re coming from
Roleplay maybe
Probably

I’m not actually being there, but being on his way is classic star citizen
I love the cutlass red I think its my favorite ship in the cutlass series great job on the vid too
Cheers lad o7
Thanks for using a Cutlass Red, the only real medical ship in the game.
If I knew i'd be attended by a medic with your flowing locks and bedside manner i'd try fist fighting a compound full o Nine Tails
enjoyed the vid good job! what are your PC specs?

tier 3 bed in cutlass need a carrack or 890j for tier 2 no ship has tier 1 yet
"My next victim" 😆
Should have disabled the comm array on the first one
We need a bigger Medical ship with Garage for a medical groundvehicle to get to targets on ground.
We really do need more medical ships

Beacon baiting is a huge problem right now for medical orgs.
Is it bad that I kinda wanted to be baited lol
I don't know why you'd expect people to act any differently than they would irl?
What is beacon baiting?
haha kinda making a pseudo trauma team
Are you a medrunner or you just take the exact same armor and backpack as the org ?
You could say I’m a big fan of the medrunners, but I did already have this armor in my inventory, plus it’s cool lol
@@HilosunGamingChannel i like that armor- wish i could get the same ones- haven't found it thou
