Ok. Just begun to watch and you say you want to build something with limited time, tools and money. I hate to tell you, but most people don't have an expensive table saw which you then used to build this project with "limited tools". Wow. We don't all have a fully equipped workshop to build anything. Please, make SOME OF your videos for people with nothing more than a little bit of space, hand tools and maybe a few of the basic power tools. I've saved for years to get a chop saw. I really want a table saw, but that is some time out. What can I do with "normal people" tools?
Bro my tablesaw was bought used for 230$ firstly. Secondly I show my audience how to rip boards without it , you’re clearly not a regular viewer. . have you seen any of my videos pal , your grinch like attitude is shit , get real bro . Merry Christmas I’m litterally showing folks how to make projects and do things to be able to purchase tools buddy. Hope you carry a better attitude in 2025
Every damn video there's someone who makes this same damn complaint. There's nothing in the video you couldn't do with a hand saw and a home made miter box. If you have a chop, so much the better- you can make angled cuts with a chop with the help of jigs made from scrap.
I agree, 100%! I get discouraged when he says, "meet me at the table saw". But, tools can always be borrowed or found at pawn shops, Harbor Freight has various options. His videos are good and he does good work. Don't get too discouraged. Start small and build up.
This is a comment for every one of your videos: A motivational speaker once said: “You have everything you want right now!” We all thought ‘What?’ He went on to say that if we REALLY wanted something, we’d find a way to get it. Work part time, sell unused items, buy used, etc. MANY will say they want something but they mean ‘if someone gives it to them’.
So very well said ! Thank you for that , so very true , and here’s another bit of truth , the difference between try and triumph is just a little , “Umph”
Dick.... I watched it all. Cool projects. Project idea for you... Would you consider making a 4-5" thick speed bag platform for boxing, but with a theme to it? (Must be thick to better absorb the pounding and to eliminate vibration) Platform should be 24"x24". The theme I'm looking for is USA 🇺🇸. Hope to see you make it. 🤞. I built mine with glulam 😉
Dick - 😆 - Great and simple project again! Thank you for the inspiration, when things warm up here in Eastern Ontario, I'll be reopening my workshop and pumping out quite a few woodworking projects based off of your videos. Thanks again and Merry Christmas to you and your family from me and mine.
Dick .... Merry Christmas sir. Greatly appreciate your content. Breaking the barrier for beginners is always been something that I have tried to do. You sir are crushing it. Not everyone has a Yankee workshop full of tools.
Dick: Definitely gonna give the lap top lifters a try! We have ours sitting on a small box to keep the heat dissipated. Love your videos. Keep 'em coming!!
I'm a robot named Dick..lol.. sad to say not everyone appreciates good woodworking with ones hands. Ty, for the time to teach us with your tutorials and share your experience.
I thought Dick resigned, oh you might be too young to remember that. Lol Every tool in my shop was bought and paid for by selling my products. Next on the list is a spindle sander. Great video Daniel, thank you!
Dicks at the hardware store couldn’t seem to find my order on Monday so I am behind on orders. 😂😂 great video hope you had a fantastic Christmas my friend!!
Dick. I had a skilsaw guard stick on me once. I was done with the deck and was trimming a tread and went to set it down and made a half circle cut right in front of the stairs. We would stick a 16 penny nail in there but the pencil trick worked great. Merry Christmas ya filthy animals!
Dick, your Makita pencil trick is awesome. Why haven't I even thought about this? Instead, I struggle to use all three thumbs while holding the blade guard open.
Dick, I had to turn on my closed captioning on to make sure I had that correct! 🤣 Two more bad a$$ projects in the books, keep up the awesome content brother.
Dick--I have the book of his showing all the woodworking projects he made from Lost Art Press. it's pretty cool. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Daniel.
Dick 😂 Daniel those project were awesome do love the Lap Top Riser and the idea of the NFL color you could also do Basketball colors to also spice it up? Thank you for the great content and idea you bring to the saw dust table.?
Richard that looks easy enough with little tools that other guy is a karen. I have tools from the 80s and very few of them with a work space thats 8x10 and its outside under part roof to keep dry but not warm and i live in MT so richard go watch someone else. Bearded keep the videos comeing love them merry christmas everyone.
Hey hey . Thanks man , I started off up under my house in the dirt , but not everyone knows that lol 😂 hard work and pounding the pavement got me to having the little bit of things I do have ,built this shop with dumpster diving lumber with my own two hands
@Bearded-Viking-WoodWorks heck yeah. Thats what i am doing. I get lots of wood and just found a older sliding miter saw i have to fix the handle but it all works just neex to build and put out to sell things

Love the projects, although I did think this video would be one using the “simple” tools. But I know you have those in other videos. I appreciate site the Christmas show! ❤
Table saw was used once to rip a board. I couldn’t use my jigsaw becuase I didn’t have a blade long enough , second project was mainly done with circular saw , table saw is a pretty common tool . I get it that not everyone has one but dayum . lol 😂
I had forgotten about them until my daughter came home to visit from college and she had hers that I made her and I was like oh shit ! I need to start making those again. They sell pretty damn good too

Merry Christmas! I cannot understand some of the comments that richard’s are making concerning your tools. Get out, make something that someone feels has value, recoup your costs, rinse & repeat. Save profits and eventually you have what you need for a tool or tool upgrade. Last upgrade I was able to do, I gave the original to someone who could use it & payed it forward.
Dick! 😂 Seriously, my grandpa made us all baby seats and cribs with only a saw and hammer. I've got more than that, and I'm terrified to get started. 😮
Gonna get creative and say "Richard" instead lol For the laptop holders, have you run into any trouble with the weight of the computer resting against that notch thats flowing with the grain? I am having flashbacks from 3d printing projects that fail when even slight lateral pressure would get applied in a way that it basically tears off pieces along that grain line. It does look thick enough to possibly counteract that though

I love your videos and your take on things but I’m not a beginner and I’d like some more advanced projects I the pay to play spot.
The smell is after it drys, I made 5 phone stands for Xmas present . Had them in a bag in the room I was sleeping in and could smell it across the room. Had to put them outside to air them out some.
Super fun build , there’s some cool designs I used to make on the band saw .the solid walnut ones I would get , $55 for and the really intricate ones upwards of $80 .
