A perfect weapon to play fight with. If they take it too far or begin to annoy you, you can just take out your trump card and end them. In all seriousness, this is just amazing. Really amazed by your skill.
A great art piece for sure. I normally don’t like the shinny blades with the beautiful handles but that scabbard sets the it all off. Very well done all around. I can’t wait to get my skill to your level. Learning bunches from ya.
Gorgeous work brotha!! Absolutely stunning! The only thing I can think of is that I would have wanted the white inlays on either side of the black on the Saya as well. To match the handle. 😁👍 But great work!
I have enjoyed watching many of your videos and I really love your work. The scales and tang work you did on the Slavic razor were just unbelievable!!! The knife and matching sheath you have done here are outstanding! I have to agree with Micke Boden, though, I would liked to have seen brass inlays around the sides of the black on the saya to match the knife. Please don't take this as criticism...I love your work and this is only a personal preference. This is a beautiful project...perfectly done.
Very beautiful and great job making it!!!!! The brass might mess up the mirror finish but being a lot softer I would think it'd take awhile Enjoyed and gave a Thumbs Up also
Thanks mate! Yep, I thought of that too, so I left the opening on the guard wider to avoid that, but I messed up the finish on the blade anyway. I think the blue liner is just abrasive enough to take the shine off.. Oh well, now I know :)
@@BlackBeardProjects: Beautiful work, thanks for sharing! Is the saya staying on the knife by friction? That's really cool, but I'd also worry about scratching/abrading the blade over time. Also, with such a tight fit overall, have you found that the wood has moved or swelled and the saya sometimes is too tight? Thanks!
Thanks! I had few left and was worried to add a potential failure point, I think the joint between wood and liners is not strong enough for this application, not in the middle of the saya at least. The guard on the other hand is not subjected to any strain so it should be fine with a liner and just ca glue. Not sure anyway, just my thought!
@@BlackBeardProjects Cool! I'll have to find some, it's very difficult giving a patina on steel by heating it up... Especially when it's already on the blade. Thanks!
Really nice. Could you tell me more about the patina liquid? I live in the UK and can't see the same stuff. Is it for brass or is it a general black patina liquid. Thanks. Hugl
Kick ass u and Bobby inspire me to better all my arts and craft skills!

Awesome!!!
Did you forget about the white spacers between the layers (such as on the hilt), or were you intentionally not doing them?
Thanks! I had few left and was worried to add a potential failure point, I think the joint between wood and liners is not strong enough for this application, not in the middle of the saya at least. Hey man! Really good job. What is the liquid you used to oxidize, or turn the brass black? Really cool idea you did there.
Thanks mate!! I think it's called "antiquing Fluid" there are some different kind that oxidize copper, tin, silver and so on.
@@BlackBeardProjects Cool! I'll have to find some, it's very difficult giving a patina on steel by heating it up... Especially when it's already on the blade. Thanks!
