Dr Dray, I couldn't agree more. I'm a lover of both the essence, and the all in one cream. It was a game changer in my skin regimen. I went from a $100 dollar moisturizer to the Cosrx all in one cream. I absolutely love the feel, and overall change in my skin.

I have both products and love them. I go for the cosrx when my skin needs extra tlc and healing. Cosrx is slightly thicker and feels like it smooths and protects my skin a bit more. I use the peach slices when my skin feels like it needs less occlusive products or when I'll be in places with more humidity. No clue if that's at all aligned with the ingredients, but it feels like the best path on my skin for day to day changes. I'm oily, and having options for the environment helps.

I just started using the CosRx serum because it was on sale for $15 and it’s great! I had used the snail cream before and really liked it, so I wanted to give it a try. As someone with very dry skin, I think I saw more benefits from the cream in terms of skin hydration and barrier repair than with the serum, probably because it has a thicker texture, but this is a great replacement for the Ordinary’s hyaluronic acid + B5 serum (which I’ve been looking to phase out of my skin care routine for a while) because it has both those ingredients AND snail mucin!

I’ve tried both but I found that the CosRx snail cream was by far the best product. It helps with acne and hydrates my skin. Absolutely worth a purchase I would recommend to anyone.

Hi Andrea! I’m so glad you did this video. I got really lucky and caught a major CosRx 🐌 product sale at StyleVana and got the essence, cream, and eye cream. I’ve seen other people talking about Peach Slices and was going to try a couple of their products because of the addition of centella, but I’m going to pass because I ❤️ 🐌 slime…the stringier the better. I put some of the cream on the back of my hands and they looked 20 years younger! The intense hydration plumped up my skin so much that all the fine lines and crepiness were gone! I need to get back on tretinoin and include my neck, décolletage, and hands as part of my treatment along with 🐌🤧! I would take baths in the stuff if I had the money!
Menopause is really doing a number on my skin. I’m beyond the night sweats, mood swings, and all of that, but the lack of estrogen in my skin is really aging me fast. No fun!

The first time I used the COSRX Snail Mucin 96 someone complimented me on my skin, saying "it's so healthy & dewy" and that was under bright lighting. So now it's a must! For daytime, I always follow it with a non-chalky sunscreen and a moisturiser because so that the hyaluronic acid in the product doesn't pull the moisture away from my skin. Maybe that is why some people say that it makes their skin dry & irritated? May they need to follow it up with a good non-fragranced, soothing moisturiser. In the evenings I "snail" then "slug"!
I thoroughly researched the ethics of snail farming for filtrate finding that it is thankfully not in the farmers' interest for their snails not to be happy. I also commented on Mo's Skin Lab in his video about it. I still internally "thank the snails" when I use their product!

I have Poikiloderma of Cevatte too. I have not tried the snail mucin but I have had great success with Neova Active Defense sunscreen ( it has DNA repairing properties) followed with La Roche- Posey Cicaplast. . I tried the ISDIN DNA repairing sunscreen but think the Neova is better. My chest was bright red, the skin appeared so thin I was afraid it would tear if I scratched the horrible itchiness. I would dig my nails into my chest instead to relieve the itch. The itch and redness are gone. It now looks like I have a tan instead of a severe burn. I don’t think it will go away altogether. But I found these 2 products to be a life saver.

I’ve been using the CosRx snail mucin power essence for about a year and I love it! The texture is different… but satisfying 😅 I tend to break out less when I layer several lightweight products vs. one thicc, occlusive crème. Using this essence with another serum and a gel moisturizer seems to be sufficient to keep me moisturized this winter without triggering my acne 🥳

Cosrx Snail Mucin essence and sometimes the cream are holy grail products! I tried these because of your older videos. I had damaged skin because I picked on warts and pimples a lot (wrong I know) but the snail mucin helped heal this. Sad that when I recommended it to others, they broke out after using it. I also love the stringy texture by the way!

Literally applying my cosrx snail mucin essence rn as I start the video hahaha
Edit: I always pat it gently around my eye area, too. It does wonders honestly, for the tiny crinkles I’ve been developing. AND! You’re absolutely right about it helping to reduce sensitivity. I’ve always had crazy irritable skin, but my skin has been chefs kiss the past few years and I def think this is part of the reason why.

do you apply your serums on top of the cosrx essense?

    • @laurenemerick4350
      @laurenemerick4350 ปีที่แล้ว +5

@@pssurvivor I don’t really use anything labeled a serum. But yes, I put any additional products on top of the cosrx. I put the snail mucin on my face before everything else, including my actives. I let it absorb a bit (only takes a min or so) before I start applying anything else tho.

@@laurenemerick4350 do you use it before retinol or tretenion? I just worry if it's thick other things won't absorb as well. But my skin gets so sensitive in winter I want to give it a try. It was on sale.

@@sonjaforrester9255 Sonja, I apply it before everything, including tret. It has a viscus texture, but it absorbs quickly and thoroughly. I don’t worry abt my actives being able to penetrate.

I tried both and like you i love and prefer the texture of the cosrx snail mucin. Something about it is just so satisfying to put on the skin.

I’ve been curious about snail mucin for a long time. At one point, before I’d heard of it in skincare, I was using a shampoo/conditioner set that touted snail mucin as a key ingredient, and my hair has never felt healthier or thicker (I have very fine hair). It’s since been discontinued, and who knows if snail mucin had anything to do with the benefits I saw; I just know that in all my 40 years, nothing has made my hair feel and look that good. I’ve thought about trying snail mucin products on my face, but I can only tolerate a small number of products, and I’ve never prioritized it enough to work it in. But now I’m wondering if I could put one of these products in my hair 😆 If nothing else, it seems like it could be good for my scalp 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’ve been using the snail 🐌 mucin by CosRX for several years now and I’m very happy with it. It’s one product in which I’m very loyal to the brand of and repurchase over and over. I don’t have perfect skin but I do have good skin for my age and get complimented on that often and I give at least partial credit to this product as well as being vigilant with SPF and cleansing well at night and moisturizing well!

I have some spots of eczema on my face and it can be hard to really fight this. Ever since using the Cosrx snail serum: the dry patches are completely gone. Yeah, if I dont use it for a bit it does come back, but that is just the skin condition. It's been a game changer for me! Using this with The Inkey List Oat cleanser, some snail serum and then a thin layer of Avene creme, my skin has never been better!

Thank you DR. Dray. I have used other Korean mucin products from more expensive & popular brands in Korea. They were full of fragrance & sometimes less mucin. Really like the COSRX. It's been 2 years since I last used the COSRX but will get back into it for the summer. The essence and all in one mucin cream are effective product; good price, quality & smooth products (not as mucus'ee). We are not missing out (Canada here) from the ones actually sold in Korea. They do have high standards but what North Americans & Europeans compared to Koreans want is quite different. A very different market. In fact, some of the first products outside of Korea were not even known to Koreans. They were made for the North America market. Also, in Korea they are willing to pay much more from top brands for skin products & the regulations & needs & wants are different.
