Laura in the Kitchen Laura!!!! Girl, you Are my cooking buddy, my spirit animal, just this weekend I've made fruit pie with you ;) I am from the Mediterranean, Croatia, and I've lived in Italy, so our tastes in food, and cooking upbringing are the same. During the week it's more simple and healthy, but on w-end - Home made delicious stuff! My puppy and I are just heading out for a walk and to pick some wild esparragos for today's lunch. I love your positivity, your traditional cousine, love it al Bella! Tanti bacci di Dalmacia!!! :)
I love the reasoning behind this video, you truly are an inspiration to others and such a great role model. I always enjoy your videos, the techniques and versatility of the looks you create x
I would absolutely love a tutorial on very dark circles. I don't mean hyper pigmentation, but the dark circles that come from the sunken in kind of face. It's something I struggle with and have always had difficulty covering. I love you guys!
Emma Berg same here!! I've watched tons of vids on dark circles and colour correction but they really don't address the problem of the "sunken under-eye area" that we suffer from (and the older we get, the worse they will become, I'm afraid)
I know how you feel. I've always had dark circles and dark eye sockets in general , even as a child, but they weren't as noticeable. Apparently it's because the skin is way too thin. Those dark circles are impossible to cover up, I apply layers and layers of products but they only look a bit less noticeable
color correction is key because those sunken in eyes produce super dark bluish/ purplish tones. Go for orange to red correctors. Ive even used a lip product that is more red than orange because i ran out of my color corrector and I've used and it works the same. make sure its not completly matte but has a bit of moisture to it. Once you put a thin layer down where all the darkness is, especially in the inner corners and up towards the nose and lid., use a VERY MINIMAL layer of translucent powder to set that in place so it doesn't move around. Next go in with a relatively full coverage concealer. If you have dry skin, anastasia concealer (in the pot) is great. It has moisture and is full coverage. Oily skin can use the taste shape tape or a drugstore version can try the maybelline age rewind in the brightener shade or anything that is full coverage. If you leave the concealer on for about a minute or two and then blend it out, it gives it a bit more coverage. Then again set with a thin layer of translucent power.
I saw the comment you're referring to on a recent video... it's so nice that you actually made the tutorial for her! This is why I love your channel, you really care about your viewers x
Alice Clare I saw that comment too and I was so happy that she decided to do a tutorial because of the mum. This is what makeup artists should be all about. To make their customers feel good about themselves ❤
this video gave me the feels. i also remember seeing the comment. nothing else to say other than i love you ladies ! you have it right when it comes to your approach to makeup :)
This really touched my heart. Such a sweet response to a worried mother. And to hear you talk about bullying... well, let's just say I was I went to your school as a child. Love to see the real beauty from within shine through as much as it did in this video. Thank you for that.
whenever I watch your videos I feel like I'm having a gab fest with my wise grown up big sister! love it. your kids are gonna turn out amazing with such a great mum
Thank you so much for this tutorial!! I have been going through chemo for breast cancer for the last year and I still have a year to go. I have to take a steroid as well with my treatment. I've always been into makeup and contouring has been difficult to not look so harsh worth my bald head, that I wear proudly by the way, this was perfect. I have always been into makeup and going through this it has brought me just an added boost to my self confidence. Red lipstick has been a staple because it makes me feel powerful, and I refer to my makeup as my war paint in this fight. I'm doing well, I'm a strong fighter. I'm in cosmetology school right now and I plan to pay all I learn forward to help other women going through this to feel good and feel that power. Thank you again so much. All my love
Hey lovely. I've been in a similar situation, I've been on steroids for a year now with chemo. If you get a 'moon face' from the steroids being able to find your cheekbones can get quite difficult so if you find contouring hard it may not be you. Cream is a very good option as the contour looks better the less you do but I found lining up my contour to the middle of my ear was where my cheekbones should be. I also struggled with having not jawline so contouring below my jaw helped a little bit. Hopefully this will be of some help to you. Keep on rocking your red lip you beautiful woman!! 💄 I hope everything goes well for you!! ⭐️😘 Much love! 💖
Jen Byme - As a breast cancer survivor (in both breasts) I just want say - "You go girl!" I am so proud of you for what you are doing. Bless you. I wish you the best in your endeavors to help other women going through breast cancer. All my love to you!
You are amazing and I wholeheartedly agree! For 10+ years I dealt with an array of illness due to mysterious underlying illness and while recovering many years ago is when I fell in love with makeup. It was the only thing I could control. Moon face was not fun! I am so lucky that I made it through a bone marrow transplant and the rare syndrome I suffered from is in the rearview mirror. It's amazing what we find we're capable of fighting - you rock! 😘

Jen Byrne can I just say that judging from your profile photo, you are one stunningly BEAUTIFUL woman. you absolutely rock that red lippie of yours and I'm sending you lots of hugs from Cork, Ireland! x
I love the reason you made this video! I was diagnosed with kidney disease 4 years ago and have been taking steroids the same length of time. I'm currently not that puffy but when I was diagnosed I was 18 and I was very puffy! It was horrible
Danielle Collins why does it make you puffy? The actress Sarah Hyland suffers too. For a while her face looked normal but recently I noticed a slightest puffiness to her cheeks again. Hope both you are ok. Many blessings to you!
GoodandDelicious the steroids produce natural producing cortisone in your body to attack inflammation. then it builds up and there is too much and the body retains fluid, and you delevop whats called Cushings Syndrome. google it and you will see the typical moon face shown, hunched shoulders, abdominal swelling, lower back fluid.... not to mention osteoporosis, cataracts, and thinning of the skin leading to stretch marks, anxiety, insomnia, and the classic Roid Rage 💪
sarah had a transplant, after transplants you're mostly on steroids for life. the puffiness flares up sometimes and can be barely noticeable other times it just depends
Nic the way you speak is so engaging and really moving. I just loved how genuine and emotional you are in your videos, especially this one. I can tell you really care and it makes you a pleasure to watch. X
Videos like these are so therapeutic, it's like having an amazing big sister. Could you do a video on covering acne scarring without looking cakey? I've had acne for 10 years and I don't know what my face looks like without it, I can never cover it with makeup no matter what I try. I'd love to see myself without it.
I love that you're actually worried about your kids becoming bullies! Not enough parents even think about that. Maybe if they did and actually took the time to tell their kiddos how to treat other humans we wouldn't have so much of a problem. Just teach your kids empathy and compassion and to genuinely see people, to see their own value and the value of everyone they meet, and they should turn out pretty great.
Thank GOODNESS for this video, thank you Nic! I'm ghostly pale and have been trying to jump on the contour train, but I had no idea how to do it right for my skin! You guys are amazing, I always have to make the time to watch all of your videos when you both upload because everything you do is such a breath of fresh air!
I'm crying! Thank you SO much Nic, I am having the same issues with medications and weight gain and I have had a problem with contouring looking natural, bless you!
I think its so great that you created this video as a response to parent wanting help for her daughter. Also your skin actually looks like skin up close. My makeup never looks that natural. To me it always looks like the make up is sitting on my skin no matter what kind I try.
I started watching you and Sam's videos when I was 16 (I just turned 23), first learning about make up and am ever grateful about every makeup tip AND life advice tip that you have given me throughout the years. You two taught me every bit of advice about self confidence growing up as a teenage girl and I am the confident, grateful young woman today largely because of you two. I think you two have a greater power in inspiring people more than you know!!! xxx
Briliiant, BRILLIANT video. I have tried powder contouring so many times and have to take it off as it's that bad. Laura, I SO hope this helps. I have lost a bit of jaw definition from 35 sessions of radiotherapy for throat cancer. Not the end of the world but this might just make me feel a bit better too. Many thanks Nic. Hope you're all doing ok. 💋💗💋
This actually made me cry! You and Sam are so real and caring, you can tell your inner drive for this comes from such a good place and its lovely to see. Lots of love to the brave girl with kidney disease
I remember that ladies request asking you to do this. I am so thrilled you are doing this for her and her daughter. Very well done Nic...you're a star 😉
Nic, what an inspirational video, as a mum it's one I could be happy to show my daughter when she's older knowing she could copy and still look natural and also be uplifted.
so sweet to help Rachel in her time of need! this helped me as well! I do have a request I need help with, I've asked so many vloggers and no response. I had brain surgery, my optic nerve was severed on accident...which led to my eye "dying" ,I have a new cornea transplant :) but they had to sew the outer corner of my eye shut. how can I use eye products and techniques to make it look open or wider to match my other eye??? my head is shaved, but growing back slowly, so I need something to help me feel pretty, making my eyes pop! would help alot! I think others would benefit,as well, if they have small eyes, and they want them to look open. I would appreciate any tips please. feel free to use my story, if u decide to help. Thanks for helping me too today ❤️this channel so much
A C You may also want to get in touch with Linda Seidel, a corrective makeup artist. Not much on her TH-cam channel, but try her on instagram. Her website: www.lindaseidel.com has instructions for various ways to conceal almost anything. You may want to contact her customer service about your specific issues. Hope that helps.
Could you do a video on how to cover redness on cheeks? I hate it and I can never wear bronzer/contour because it clashes and makes me seem ever redder!!
Caitlin Bradley try a yellow color corrector. I have redness across my cheeks & and using green makes me look sick. But a friend who is a makeup artist told me to use yellow for all over redness & green for very small areas. I love it!
Nic the purpose of this video just shows what an incredible human being you are. Always happy to help and give advice to others. This is just lovely xx
Hi Nic!! I love you and Sams videos and have been watching for YEARS!! I'd love to see a video for red skin pigmentation. I would love to have glowing dewy skin but have so much red pigmentation primarily in my cheeks, and i am SO pale, I just feel like I can't get the coverage I need with the glow I want!! Thank you ❤
Sarah Diggins same here and I also have some purple tones in my redness so the wrong colors just make it worse and don't even add any coverage. I would love this type of tutorial!
i never comment, but the both of you are such kind heart'd people. i can always rely on this channel for sheer honesty, consistency and zero sophistry!! soo much respect xx
I remember reading that comment last week and thought I hope you see that. Wasn't expecting the video so soon. It was brilliant so informative and easy to follow. Also not ridiculously expensive contour products being used. Love it!
This is wonderful, thank you! It actually brought tears to my eyes because it brought me back to when I was Rachel's age and my kidneys had just failed (25 years ago now). It is a very hard age. Hopefully Rachel and her mom saw my message that things get so much better and see that life with kidney disease can be very full and happy. Much love!
I love you both! Your morals and empathy are inspirational. I'd love to see a tutorial about covering problem spots. maybe hyper-pigmentation or extreme dark circles. I have a heart condition so my blood doesn't pump around properly so I and up with black undereyes. Not even exaggerating! people have asked why I have two black eyes and give my hubby a stinking look!! :o x
It makes me so happy, I read the comment from Rachels mom and thought "if sam and nic sees this, I bet one of them will make a video" and you did. Awesome and it really shows that you love what you do and care about the people who are watching and subscribing to you. !
Thank you for this. As I have got older my eyelids have got very dark ( reddish brown ) along with dark circles - not a good look! Could you show how to correct these please. Not sure which product or colour to use. Than you.
I saw the comment that you're referring to... it's so lovely that you took the time to address Rachel and her mum! This is why I follow the Pixiwoo sisters, you are so genuine and I live for it👌 also... loving the shooting style with different shots showing the products!
I love that you promote a healthy relationship with make up. So empowering and inspiring while acknowledging that no one is perfect. I'm sure you made Rachel's day x
I would love a Nose- Contour video! Explaning the different shapes and how to contour it right!! Because I'm so sick of all the yourubers contouring their nose all the same😩 so my nose has a light edge.. but I can't find how to do it right❤❤
yeah I have the most uncommon nose shape, there is no tutorial on how to contour the one I have. I would gladly send picture of my nose to pixiwoo, but I doubt they would find a model with simiilar nose tho :|
What an amazing woman you are.... this video just blew me away. i am an older woman and 5 years ago I was diagnosed an autoimmune disease called Addison's disease. In order to "sustain life", I must take steroids daily to replace the cortisol that my adrenal glands cannot produce anymore. I literally try to avoid mirrors and have had such a difficult time coming to terms with my appearance, ( I am not a vain person, but you guys know what I mean!!). You were just so sweet and kind as you addressed how to contour a round face. I learn so much.Thank you for your compassion..
Hi, i am amazed at this video. I was put on an extremely high dose of steroids at 13 years old and blew up like a balloon. I had nothing like this and would have loved it. Im now 25 and still look back in horror at that time and think its amazing that you are doing this for this sweet girl. Xx
I wish Rachel a good recovery, good on you for enduring such an intensive treatment. I took meds in my late teens that bloated my face and I can relate to feeling self conscious.
I love this, so kind of you to do a video for Rachel. She will be feeling better in no time 😍 I would love to see any tips you have to reduce puffy eyes, and also tips on covering red scars from spots in my younger days 🙈 without looking like I'm wearing lots. Got to avoid the fine lines now I've joined the 30's club! Hope your all well, loved the little part about everyone having their own problems, so so important for everyone to remember that xxx 💜
My daughter is being bullied. It's so hard to see her go through this. She is now under the drs for depression and anxiety. She is also having CBT therapy. She's 14 and very pretty and popular with the boys and the girls are so horrible to her they even call her a slag and a slut. The thing is she's never even had a boyfriend. It happens at school and then continues at home on social media. She's now come off social media sites apart from Facebook which she has blocked them off. It breaks my heart to see her going through this.
Caroline Marshall It breaks my heart to read this. All my best goes out to her. Wait and see, bullies turn into losers. Your daughter will win in the end and she will be stronger for this (not pleasant) experience xx
Caroline Marshall I'm sorry for yours & your daughter's pain. I am a Master's-level therapist. It's wonderful that you've gotten professional help for your girl. CBT is an excellent approach to therapy. I would also recommend DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) as a possible alternative. DBT is all about skills-building & how to regulate your own emotions. Because it's more about doing than talking it is very empowering, especially for young people. I will keep you both in my prayers. 💕
I'm so happy you made this video for that mother. I read the comment that day and I was really touched by what she said. Really glad this video came out. It'll certainly help them a lot! Xoxo from Brazil!
Hey sam and nic, i have a port wine stain birthmark covering my whole left cheek. I would love it if you made a video on how to cover severe discolouration such as birthmarks, scaring and tatoos but still looking natural and not cakey. Also products you recommend using to cover my birthmark and the best way to apply it with the best tools/brushes. Lots of love xx
Video Request :How to cover acne naturally! I really would like this video as I struggle with acne on my chin and the sides of my mouth. They are large spots that are sore to touch and in large clumps close together. So I don't want anything that is too heavy to make them worse, but I would like to actually cover them to help with my confidence. I wear makeup to school and I use a light coverage foundation, from the body shop, with the lasting perfection collection concealer. I apply the light coverage foundation everywhere to even my skin tone, and the concealer on my chin where my acne is. I am also very pale, so this means cakey makeup makes my face look patchy and orange, meaning I look like I have an orange as a chin... I also use the real techniques stifling brush, for foundation, and the real techniques sponge for the concealer. Please help me as the concealer just isn't working out for me. The makeup just looks orange and cakey if i put enough on to cover my spots, but if I try and avoid it from looking cakey and orange, the spots just aren't being covered.... urghhhh so frustrating :(
Ketty Cabrera i would like a more natural look, more updated (the trends that are now) with the products that are available now.... since that was made in 2012 :)
have you thought of doing colour correcting using green concealer on the red bumps (a light layer) and then a light layer of your foundation over the top? its so easy when you have acne to want to cake them but like youve found that doesnt work. what it does do is trap the excess oils abd dirt on the spots and stops them from healing by irritating and potentially infecting them. im nearly 40 and still battle acne (i have PCOS) but ive found less truly is more. when i was a teen all i had was rimmel cover stick oh boy that was baaaad lol i look like id been paint bombed with cream paint lol
Rosie Coulthard have you watched Lisa Eldridge's pin point concealing video? Very good. She used to suffer from acne. I think that the best thing to do to stop the orangeness is to buy a camouflage concealer palette, and mix them to find the right colour. It's expensive, and takes some practise, but Kryolan Dermacolour Camouflage palette is brilliant.
Don't often comment on youtube videos, but just want to say you're so refreshingly different to all of the other makeup artists on youtube. As someone who needs a lot of help in the makeup department - your techniques and tips are really helpful. Thank you!x
Hello! So I don't know if a video can be made out of this but I feel like a lot of people including myself don't understand that our skin is skin...we all have lines and get creases here and there but with Instagram makeup everything is so filtered and flawless, I sometimes give myself a really hard time when my skin doesn't look like an 'Instagram beauty guru's ' makeup! Which further leads me into really disliking makeup and how it looks on me... I hope this makes a wee bit sense! I think we all need to understand that skin is going to be skin!
The motivation behind this video is so empowering, women should be doing whatever they can to pull each other up. This is definitely the best channel in terms of being role models and kick ass makeup artists to boot!
I absolutely adore your reasoning for this video!🙌🏽 As someone who has had to take this medicine for years, I love this video and fortunately I have been able to stop them for now so hopefully I stay well Xx
could you do more tutorials on black skin? you guys are my favourite make up artists, and although there are a lot of youtubers who are black who do tutorials (which i like), i'd love to see you guys do it, because like i said you are my favourites :)
Thank you for doing this video, the message is so important. I had a major leg operation when I was 14 and was on crutches for 9 months. I was badly bullied at school and it was the worst year of my teenage life. However, I now look back on that time and realise how much strength I developed during that year. It taught me not to care what other people thought about me, what matters is what you know about you, where you have been and what you are underneath the makeup! Everything in life is either a lesson or a gift.
Thank you for doing this video. Poor petal, I hope it will help her. Makeup is my "warrior paint" - I have autoimmune disease and makeup is what helps me face my day - if I look better, I can almost change how I feel. And the act of putting it on is a treasured part of my day - where I watch your videos. You ladies are an inspiration. 😘
you and Sam were what got me into make up from a young age and I personally feel like on TH-cam you are the only people who do it for the right reasons. you both look so natural even with some of the crazy looks Sam does, and you inspire every look I do. when I do a client I just think 'remember what Sam and nic taught you' less is defiantly better.
I have experience what is called "moon face" from taking steroids. It has a tendency to make you feel so self conscious and unrecognizable to yourself. Thank you so much for this video Nic. I absolutely love you. xxx
This video is why Pixiwoo is my favorite channel. You were my first channel I subscribed to, years ago, and you've never given me a reason to unsubscribe, like so many others. Please don't stop doing what you do!!!!
I remember that comment on the other video, it is so nice that you addressing the issue and helping a young lady feel more confident ! Love your channel 💛
Hi Rachel, sending you hugs and love! My sister has had a liver condition since she was sixteen and has been on steroids for years. I understand your struggle because it was hers too, and I can promise you -- a tiny bits of confidence does wonders! You do you to find that confidence! Contour and know that you are more precious and more beautiful than you can know! Lots of love from me to you, sweetie! And thanks for the video!
I Loved that video so much!!😍 beautiful and natural! I have a request video...I am getting married at the end of this year👰🏼 I really love doing my makeup and I also work as a makeup artist. I really want to do my own makeup for my wedding but I'm nervous because I want it to look amazing! I Was wondering if you could do a wedding makeup look including your tips and tricks to keep it looking amazing all day and some dos and donts😊 I love your videos and would really love your advice! Xxx
Row H I did my own for my wedding back in August. I watched their bridal videos found in their Playlist. For my prep & foundation I followed the oily skin Bridal tutorial and for the eyes and rest of the face I followed Nic's wedding makeup tutorial. I believe that one is titled My Wedding Makeup...you'll have to search that one as I don't believe it's in the bridal playlist. Good luck and CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Thanks Sam for the great intro! I'm 30 and I do eye makeup but don't wear foundation or BB or CC cream because I'm proud of my skin. I had a horrific acne journey and me and my skin made it out alive after prescription medication. I feel really proud of my skin and I want it to show it's flaws. Thanks for the confidence in feeling good in my skin. xxoo
How many times can I "like" this video? LOL Thank you for caring about our young people. Thank you for clarifying - again- that everyone's face is unique and so too should how they contour. For me, I have the more long/rectangular face shape and if I apply anything to the tip of my nose it better be contour and not highlight! :o)
Well done you for doing this for a girl in need.. my son has been a kidney patient from birth and I've seen what happens to young girls when they stop taking their steroids and their kidneys fail so giving them something to make them feel more positive themselves without risking their health is brilliant so well done you xoxo
I love when Sam and Nic get emotional and passionate about something they care about. We definitely need a lot more of it in the make up end of TH-cam. People, especially young girls, need to hear and see how it's ok to look natural as well as love make up, 'imperfections' or the things we dislike about ourselves don't have to be covered up. Thanks guys for doing your bit
I love the reason for this video. so kind of you to do it nic your a star. Rachel I hope this helps you and your feeling better soon xx Nic any chance of a in-depth video if using a colour wheel please xxx
Hope this helps Rachel - thoughts are with her. Would love to see you do makeup on an older woman (I know you did your Mum, but she's gorgeous - I was thinking more of someone more wrinkly and plump!). Not sure how many of your subs would be interested, but I know I would!
Exactly! I'm about to turn 70 (gasps with horror!) and although I put on a full face of makeup daily, and spend an inordinate amount of hours watching youtube makeup videos, have yet to see older, rounder, wrinklier faces addressed! The older vloggers are usually quite slender, and have had botox (no judgement - just saying').
I have followed pixiwoo since the very beginning. I have a rare medical disease that I suffer with everyday and there is nothing I love to more is watch Sam and Nic do makeup. I love to hear other people gathering strength to get through trials of life. Love you guys and my heart goes out to you Rachel ❤️
I would love to see an in depth video for skincare and makeup tips for dry skin my face is like the Sahara dessert and I'm really struggling. Absolutely love the reasoning for this video and so lovely to see how genuine you both are it really shines through in your videos. Hope you're both ok lots of love, Roxy xxx
Hello Nic,my name is Hannah I'm 25 and I am a transgender woman and round about 12 month into my hormone therapy. I've got some great results from that but there is one concern that I still have. Perhaps you can help me out. Along with the hormone replacement therapy I get my facial hair removed via laser. But still I need quite a lot of make up to cover that bitch up. I tried colour correcting with an orange cream product but everytime I put something over the top it makes my foundation look orange as well...i don't know what to do! Plz help thx a lot love you lots Hannah
CaptainNemo92 Hey, I'm no expert by any means, but have you tried using a more peachy toned colour corrector? It still covers darkness but is more appropriate for lighter skin tones vs a true orange. (Unless you have darker skin, in which case disregard this)
CaptainNemo92 i dont know if youve tried but ive seen a few videos on covering tattooes etc and theres always 3 steps involved, no 1 is colour correcting the "issue" area, no 2 colour correcting the corrector so it looks as much like skin as possible and no 3 is actually matching your skin tone with your foundation. in between each step the layers need to be set with (translucent) powder. maybe this helps?
i would love if they made a video on this! but as someone else suggested, set the corrector with a loose (translucent) powder and give it a minute to do it's thing, before moving on to foundation and concealer.
This is why I love the Pixiwoo sisters! Graceful and empowering!
Laura in the Kitchen haiiii lauuuraaa😘

Those dark circles are impossible to cover up, I apply layers and layers of products but they only look a bit less noticeable
oh my god, yes!!! I have dark circles and a deep set tear trough and concealing those shadows can be s difficult
color correction is key because those sunken in eyes produce super dark bluish/ purplish tones.
Emma Berg yes! i need that too!! I get super dark circles..
I saw the comment you're referring to on a recent video... it's so nice that you actually made the tutorial for her! This is why I love your channel, you really care about your viewers x

whenever I watch your videos I feel like I'm having a gab fest with my wise grown up big sister! love it. your kids are gonna turn out amazing with such a great mum

Jen Byrne can I just say that judging from your profile photo, you are one stunningly BEAUTIFUL woman. you absolutely rock that red lippie of yours and I'm sending you lots of hugs from Cork, Ireland! x
A tutorial for covering severe rosacea would be nice :) love your work
peppermint_patti Yes!!!! Without it being too cakey.
thanks for the tip, you're right, great video. I think she tends to use expensive products though. Would be cool to see a more affordable tutorial :)
Yes please. my mom gets it really bad and i would love to help her.
stephanie lange has several videos for this.
Yes please, this would be so good
I love the reason you made this video! I was diagnosed with kidney disease 4 years ago and have been taking steroids the same length of time. I'm currently not that puffy but when I was diagnosed I was 18 and I was very puffy! It was horrible
Hope you're doing ok x
Stay strong!
I'm on steroids for past four months and have noticed my face looking moon-like I'm so glad you made this video. I'm 43.
Videos like these are so therapeutic, it's like having an amazing big sister. Could you do a video on covering acne scarring without looking cakey? I've had acne for 10 years and I don't know what my face looks like without it, I can never cover it with makeup no matter what I try. I'd love to see myself without it.
darthkelci also I had amazing results on my skin after I stopped having dairy
Your skin always looks so radiant😍🙌🏼
Love this more natural look💜
you are a saint. makeup tutorials aren't supposed to make you cry💜
Your skin is unbelievably flawless! 😍❤️
This video made me cry. How wonderful for you to do this for this little girl. You are such a caring person. Thank you for your kindness
Hi Nic, I was wondering, if you could give us an update on your skincare routine, add you have such great natural glowing skin. all the best!!!
The older I get the more natural I want my make up to look. Thank you for this video...I will be trying these techniques :)
You are just so amazing to have done a video dedicated to this mother! Tha is what I love about you. You are A REAL GOOD PERSON! Thank you!
so sweet to help Rachel in her time of need! this helped me as well!
Thanks for helping me too today ❤️this channel so much
hope you're doing well now ❤
A C You may also want to get in touch with Linda Seidel, a corrective makeup artist. Not much on her TH-cam channel, but try her on instagram. Her website: www.lindaseidel.com has instructions for various ways to conceal almost anything. You may want to contact her customer service about your specific issues. Hope that helps.
Wonderful video! I am so touched that you chose to do a video for this girl. I hope she sees this and is encouraged.
This is so sweet, this just solidifies even more how much I look up to and adore you and your lovely sister.
You and your sister are such lovely, warm-hearted, down to earth people. Very inspiring and when I'm feeling down your videos cheer me up. Thank you.
Could you do a video on how to cover redness on cheeks? I hate it and I can never wear bronzer/contour because it clashes and makes me seem ever redder!!
Caitlin Bradley yes!!
Caitlin Bradley have you tried using a green coloured concealer? :)
Caitlin Bradley try a yellow color corrector. I have redness across my cheeks & and using green makes me look sick. But a friend who is a makeup artist told me to use yellow for all over redness & green for very small areas. I love it!
Have you tried mixing a bit of green corrector with your shade of concealer? Or covering the green corrector with concealer?
Nic the purpose of this video just shows what an incredible human being you are. Always happy to help and give advice to others. This is just lovely xx
Hi Nic!! I love you and Sams videos and have been watching for YEARS!! I'd love to see a video for red skin pigmentation. I would love to have glowing dewy skin but have so much red pigmentation primarily in my cheeks, and i am SO pale, I just feel like I can't get the coverage I need with the glow I want!! Thank you ❤
Sarah Diggins yes yes! This is my exact problem as well :/
Sarah Diggins same here and I also have some purple tones in my redness so the wrong colors just make it worse and don't even add any coverage. I would love this type of tutorial!
I have the same problem I would love a video about that!
🙋🏻
green colour correction is the way to go!! 😀
i never comment, but the both of you are such kind heart'd people. i can always rely on this channel for sheer honesty, consistency and zero sophistry!! soo much respect xx
Much love!
Jerklord Yes I did! Thank you so much. Your message gave me so much hope and I read it several times. 😘
This is why I follow the Pixiwoo sisters, you are so genuine and I live for it👌
also... loving the shooting style with different shots showing the products!
Chin up Rachel, you have the best showing you in this video, you will be and are splendid!!!!
I love that you promote a healthy relationship with make up. So empowering and inspiring while acknowledging that no one is perfect. I'm sure you made Rachel's day x
I would love a Nose- Contour video! Explaning the different shapes and how to contour it right!!
Because I'm so sick of all the yourubers contouring their nose all the same😩 so my nose has a light edge.. but I can't find how to do it right❤❤
The reading babe YES!
The reading babe If i remember rightly Aly art did something like that :)
Oh I have a terrible shape nose point and would love to see how to correct it. I'm ashamed to say but unfortunatly it looks like a penis 😯
yeah I have the most uncommon nose shape, there is no tutorial on how to contour the one I have. I would gladly send picture of my nose to pixiwoo, but I doubt they would find a model with simiilar nose tho :|
123sepper circumsized or uncircumsized?
You truly have a heart of gold! Thank you for being sensitive and doing this video for Rachel and others who are dealing with similar issues. xo
i love that you're mentioning the girl rachel the whole time ❤you have a heart of gold. Rachel- i wish u all the best ❤
Lovely girl and two lovely sisters ....even 53 year olds love your tips! Bless you x
The purpose of your video is amazing! You are so generous
She will be feeling better in no time 😍
I would love to see any tips you have to reduce puffy eyes, and also tips on covering red scars from spots in my younger days 🙈 without looking like I'm wearing lots. Got to avoid the fine lines now I've joined the 30's club!
Hope your all well, loved the little part about everyone having their own problems, so so important for everyone to remember that xxx 💜
What a beautiful video!! You presented the most detailed and compelling contouring video I have ever seen! Bravo!!!
Amy Eades I had DBT and it really helped me a lot. I would totally recommend it!
Nick, you are such a wonderful genuine human being. You and Sam have hearts of gold. I love your videos. Wishing you many blessings.
The makeup just looks orange and cakey if i put enough on to cover my spots, but if I try and avoid it from looking cakey and orange, the spots just aren't being covered.... urghhhh so frustrating :(
This would be so good!
Check out Lisa Eldridge's acne tutorial - she uses a model with actual acne and it looks so natural!
This is why I love your channel. We see anything from really natural looks to really dramatic.
You guys should do a vid on how to conceal really deep set eyes/dark circles
This has to be the most in depth and easy to follow tutorial on contouring, and the reason you made it is lovely. Thank you ❤️
I love supporting you and your sister and you brand, because you actually care about others. You guys are amazing keep up the good work! ❤
Thank you.X
pixiwoo ❤️❤️❤️
I cannot find a foundation that doesn't settle into pores and wrinkles...any recommendations? Getting old is the pits :(
could you do more tutorials on black skin? you guys are my favourite make up artists, and although there are a lot of youtubers who are black who do tutorials (which i like), i'd love to see you guys do it, because like i said you are my favourites :)
sugarspiceunlimited agreed I would love to find black youtubers who do more natural makeup.
Absolutely beautiful reason for this video ...prayers to sweet Rachel. God bless all
Thank you for doing this video. 😘
Great video! I have a request: could you show us how to contour an aquiline/roman nose shape, please?
you and Sam were what got me into make up from a young age and I personally feel like on TH-cam you are the only people who do it for the right reasons. you both look so natural even with some of the crazy looks Sam does, and you inspire every look I do. when I do a client I just think 'remember what Sam and nic taught you' less is defiantly better.
What a lovely thoughtful video ❤️
I think that was so sweet that you did a video like this. I hope she finds it super helpful and feels better.
Xxx
Row H if you scroll through their videos they have a few bride tutorials if i remember correctly x
Kris Simcoe aw thank you so much I'll take a look!😍💍
Emily rose thank you! I shall take a look 😁 xx
Still my biggest inspo on YT for years 💗
Thank you!XX
I love when Sam and Nic get emotional and passionate about something they care about. We definitely need a lot more of it in the make up end of TH-cam. People, especially young girls, need to hear and see how it's ok to look natural as well as love make up, 'imperfections' or the things we dislike about ourselves don't have to be covered up. Thanks guys for doing your bit
I saw that comment too, so nice of you to help her out you lovely, lovely woman!
Brilliant and beautiful as always. Your children are beautiful and have beautiful parents, no chance of them ever becoming bullies!!!! Xxx
Love real technique brushes💖
I'd love to see your updated version of soft-glam Wedding makeup, ladies!!!!
thank you for the amazing message inside this video. Hughes from Sicily
Thank you.x
I love the reason for this video. so kind of you to do it nic your a star. Rachel I hope this helps you and your feeling better soon xx
Nic any chance of a in-depth video if using a colour wheel please xxx
Hope this helps Rachel - thoughts are with her. Would love to see you do makeup on an older woman (I know you did your Mum, but she's gorgeous - I was thinking more of someone more wrinkly and plump!). Not sure how many of your subs would be interested, but I know I would!
I would love that too.... especially the plump wit a bit of saggy jaw.
Thank you loads for your continued support and your kind words.Xx
Love you so much Nic, you are awesome!
(Unless you have darker skin, in which case disregard this)
CaptainNemo92 i just commented suggesting she make a video for trans women too!! Its a great idea
Maybe check out Patrick Starr ... he has a video on covering his beard area before having laser done.
I love the makeup you did & your reason behind making this video.. such an inspiration 💖 thank you
I can't help but think the contour comes in just a tad too far on the cheeks. Maybe it's just the lighting.
I love how you reference your demons and now we now a big one, still find you fab as always! Thank you for being so honest and positive with us x
