Out of the wide range of his skills, I always noticed his exquisite balance. Especially during the takedowns. His centre of gravity is what made him stand out and gave that explosive power to his kicks and punches. Thank you.
Buakaw is a legend among the brazilian youth who practiced or just liked Muay Thai. lots of kids loved to watch his compilations in my school, everybody would get so hyped that we would end up mock fighting each other until the teachers broke us up eventually forbidden it lol
An extraordinary human being, he never blames anybody when the judge steals a fight. If you watch the video, you can see his face in calm, without sadness or disappointment: "Fail is a good opportunity to work hard and prove he is the best one," My respect and affection to this outstanding fighter of the life.
I smell jealousy from the first reply, he's regarded as a legend and best Muay Thai Fighter yet he called him "still not particularly close to being the best" lmao
Buakaw truly is the Muay Thai God. A real life avatar. He looks like a freaking Street Fighter character. Thank you for putting this together bro. You are the GOAT. Going to start following you and sharing you.
I'm Japanese and seen Buakaw live in Japan! He is the first foreign fighter I have ever seen come to fight Japanese fighters, in Japan, and still be the crowd favorite! He was a legend, and even us Japanese women loved him! Lol. Girls would scream his name over and over, for the entire fight lol. I love him! Lol. He changed our opinions of Thai men lol.
Buakaw's secret is his patience. He keeps the perfect distance. He waits for his opponent to strike first, then he counters. His counters are deadly. That's how he lands most of his devastating blows. When his opponent's attack, that's when they are the most vulnerable and open, and that is when he lands his kicks and punches. He also almost never kicks straight when he aims for the head, he swings it upwards then down to bypass the arm that blocks the face. He also distracts the opponent with yaps while he twists his body sideways and delivers the unexpected kicks. He also trains to deliver extremely strong left sided kicks to weaken the opponent's dominant side. And yeah I agree with the comments the Japanese judges definitely pissed him off because in 2006 he played more aggressively to prove a point.
Buakaw fitness is INCREDIBLE....it's a testament to Thailands cultural **METHODS** of training, HARD, RELENTLESS, but full of "skill" and "small nuances" that make a HUGE difference. It's not just KICKING and KNESS and ELBOWS!!!
Never seen a fighter like this. What a legend. He always seemed invincible! His speed and confidence and those KO moves, mind blowing!wow! Take a bow legend! Respect from India!
I would love to be a fly on the wall at one of his training sessions. I’m sure I’d be in disbelief at just how much work this guy puts in. Plus his diet must be super clean. I’m willing to bet he’s probably never had soda before 😂
I dont know what religion or what beliefs he has as to afterlife or gods but that man deserves to be welcomed as an actual god of his sport when he passes.
His kicks are amazing, as a Taekwondo practitioner I specialize in kicks and I am amazed by them. He can repeat his kicks again and again and that is amazing. I also find it funny that his introduction to the world is similar to Rocky.
Watching this I can't help but notice how he's just built different than most fighters. Look at his muscles, the man is built like a freaking bronze statue. It doesn't even look like bulk either, but muscles built for strength and endurance without an ounce of fat on him.
Love from India 🇮🇳 to thai 🇹🇭 people who keep the martial spirit of Hanuman and Ram alive with their Muay Thai! Fun Fact - The Flying Knee is called Hanuman Thayarn in Thai terms.
That was one of the most enthralling things I've ever experienced. Wow. What a story. What fucking sadness I experienced when he lost those two MAX titles. I'm a 2nd degree BB in Wado Kai Karate, and have a massive respect for martial arts. And to see utter corruption, absolute fucking injustice and unfairness shown to him. It made me tear up. Yet he STILL BEAT THE FUCK OUT OF EVERYONE ON THE PLANET FOR 10 YEARS STRAIGHT. I am just... inspired. You said it, he transcended what it is to be an athlete.
Extremely grateful for documentaries on legends I admired as a kid, but something that is better than that is educating myself on legends that were competing well before I was even born. And it’s all thanks to Joe Vincent. Thank you for another chapter of sports legends documentaries
love your Buakaw documentary bro. Mad respect for buakaw. He is the true Emperor of muay thai and one of the most revered artist of the 8 limbs . Buakaw is thailands muay thai prized national fighter
One of his great aspects as champion and human being is that he never forgot his roots his village family friends and the nation he did a lot for the kids in general but also in the village he works on the fields with his family he invests and support in locals he really is star and last but not least also a great human being and that makes genuinely a real legend imho
I remember as a kid seeing him in K1 matches going up against opponents in entirely different weight classes and basically beating them into submission. A lot of it was technique, training and strength. But what stood out most: This guys was tough as nails. In an arena filled with monsters, he left me with an impression that Muay Thai fighters are the toughest sons of @#$% on the planet.
I saw a clip of buakaw's training. Dude was getting kicked in the ribs for 2 hours....then they switch sides and continue....wtf id be gurgling up my own liver after one of those
The ONLY martial art i can think of that produces tougher people than Muay Thai is Lethwei. Which pretty much just said "Huh I saw Muay Thai...so lets add your head as a weapon...oh and make it so a match only ends due to catastrophic injury or knockout..."
In Thailand the crowds chanting along every kick is fuckin insane, it creates the unreal vibes when every single individual in the building gets engaged with fight like that

DONT .
True. The word legend has been overused and it has lost it's significance. That's why I'm still a bit confused that is this fighter really a legend. Is there no Muay Thai fighter who is better than him?
@@nasdoc1 Rather than a muay thai legend, he's the greatest kickboxer of all time. The game changer, the first two times K-1 world grand prix champion. Only been tko once in his career of almost 280 professional kickboxing/muay thai match. Some would argue Giorgio Petrosyan is the greatest instead, but Buakaw is certainly a top 3 in the g.o.a.t list
@@cruzartra7485 unfortunately hes not not even top 5 of the greatest kickboxers list hes in the top 10 though and the fact that he only managed a draw against the young and inexperienced Petrosyan doesnt help in Muay Thai hes not even considered a top 20 all time great he never won a Rajadamnern or the Lumpini stadium championship really hurts his legacy but hes still one of my all time favorites
He’s a legend because of how he helped bring Muay Thai more popularity. I don’t think he is considered one of the GOATs of Muay Thai though.
Excellent doc on one of the most iconic fighters of all time
Said this several years ago that a Buakaw/Saenchai video would be fucking amazing and it finally happened. Joseph Vincent never fails to deliver 🙏🏽
@GE B *boom
Lerdsila would also be really cool.
Rodtang should also be added to that list at a later stage in life.
His story is still being written. I’m excited to see how he comes back from this.
They probs like each too much lol
The fact that you are honoring this mans career.. your a legend.
Im a buakaw fan since he was started at K1. Greetings from the Philippines.🤩👋 🇵🇭
Buakaw is a very dangerous and a scary fighter. His body is pure steel.
Out of the wide range of his skills, I always noticed his exquisite balance. Especially during the takedowns. His centre of gravity is what made him stand out and gave that explosive power to his kicks and punches. Thank you.
the recent young muay thai fighter in ONE also take center gravity like him ig he wants to be buakow 2😱
@@azure3438 What’s his name? I gotta look it up
@@rence5257 rodtang
Lmao to your name bro
his balance but also his powerful legs. his legs are huge, very similar to pacquiao.
One in a million year talent, I've been trying muay Thai for last 4 years and the respect we all have for him is like a God
Don't be too hard on yourself, og buakaw started from 7yo and does it for god and country, not because it looks cool
Don't confuse hard work and dedication with talent. He didn't wake up one day at age 7 as a legend.
Buakaw is a legend among the brazilian youth who practiced or just liked Muay Thai. lots of kids loved to watch his compilations in my school, everybody would get so hyped that we would end up mock fighting each other until the teachers broke us up eventually forbidden it lol
His grit focus determination is unparalleled second to none.
An extraordinary human being, he never blames anybody when the judge steals a fight. If you watch the video, you can see his face in calm, without sadness or disappointment: "Fail is a good opportunity to work hard and prove he is the best one," My respect and affection to this outstanding fighter of the life.
Yes exactly he was like okay 😢 I'll get stronger and beat him next time so thoroughly you can't even cheat 😭
+1
Heart breaking how he was robbed several times. But everyone knows the truth and he is the GOAT of the sport 🙏
He doesn't crack the top 10 of all time. He's the most famous and the most popular, but not particularly close to being the best
He is one of the best in Thailand but the best ever in K1
I smell jealousy from the first reply, he's regarded as a legend and best Muay Thai Fighter yet he called him "still not particularly close to being the best" lmao
@Epic Marschmallow then whos the top 10 then? Delusional mf
@@koniku3y not even a diss, hes one of the best but not quite a goat
Buakaw truly is the Muay Thai God.
A real life avatar.
He looks like a freaking Street Fighter character.
Thank you for putting this together bro. You are the GOAT. Going to start following you and sharing you.
🙏🏻
I'm Japanese and seen Buakaw live in Japan! He is the first foreign fighter I have ever seen come to fight Japanese fighters, in Japan, and still be the crowd favorite!
He was a legend, and even us Japanese women loved him! Lol. Girls would scream his name over and over, for the entire fight lol.
I love him! Lol. He changed our opinions of Thai men lol.
Most of the Japanese think they are superior than others
Japan tournament is TRASH !
What Opinions about Thai men That time? I'm curious
@@sirbill443that they have no backbone and most dress as women. Maybe?
@@sirbill443 me too
This is a treat.. I love it when he covers other fighting sports other than boxing

And yeah I agree with the comments the Japanese judges definitely pissed him off because in 2006 he played more aggressively to prove a point.
in fighting games we call that "Turtling" :)
@@Free5tyl3 and it's annoying af:)
@@Free5tyl3 not really turtling. It's turtling if you block and the attack connects. If you doge and then counter then it's different.
A true legend. Buakaw is also a God of muay thai here in the philippines.
I admire this guy a truely warrior
His body shape, his muscle, his movement, his power, his speed. Dream of every men. Sheeeesh
Broken jaw, ribs, legs part of the dream too¿ that's the price
Buakaw fitness is INCREDIBLE....it's a testament to Thailands cultural **METHODS** of training, HARD, RELENTLESS, but full of "skill" and "small nuances" that make a HUGE difference. It's not just KICKING and KNESS and ELBOWS!!!
Favourite Thai fighter of all time. An absolute inspiration.
I’m gonna need the soundtrack to this documentary, amazing video what an absolute legend
He caught my ear at three matches and “11” rounds and won another match that same night that has me genuine convinced the man is’a human anomaly.
From America... Much respect to the warrior Buakaw!!!
Never seen a fighter like this. What a legend. He always seemed invincible! His speed and confidence and those KO moves, mind blowing!wow! Take a bow legend! Respect from India!
My favorite fighter of all time!!
His name will be known throughout century .... He is indeed a legend
When i was a little kid, I always watched Buakaw fights on K1. I was shocked by the leg power he as. Still my favourite fighter of all time.
WARRIORS like this come once in a thousand years
My favorite Muay Thai fighter.Insane technique, brutal strength
This guy's physique is fucking insane
I would love to be a fly on the wall at one of his training sessions. I’m sure I’d be in disbelief at just how much work this guy puts in. Plus his diet must be super clean. I’m willing to bet he’s probably never had soda before 😂
fr you can probably cut cheese on those abs... its friggin amazing...
He's like the south east Asian equivalent of Captain America. Super soldier serum!😎😂
He's basically a Baki character
@@jahrta absolutely!!!
He is a monster athlete , with his training and with his fights , a movie should be made on him .
Try ,,Ong Bak" or ,,Protector" with Tony Jaa
Tong dee this Movie that he played an Main character
If you told me this was the God of War, I’d believe it. This guy is literally fighting incarnate.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I dont know what religion or what beliefs he has as to afterlife or gods but that man deserves to be welcomed as an actual god of his sport when he passes.
@@masterreaper115 he's buddhist, so i geuss he believes in reincarnation
His kicks are amazing, as a Taekwondo practitioner I specialize in kicks and I am amazed by them. He can repeat his kicks again and again and that is amazing. I also find it funny that his introduction to the world is similar to Rocky.
Watching this I can't help but notice how he's just built different than most fighters. Look at his muscles, the man is built like a freaking bronze statue. It doesn't even look like bulk either, but muscles built for strength and endurance without an ounce of fat on him.
@Jake Lewis idk man mike Tyson was pretty big and would destroy most men.
@Jake Lewis you said big arms but absolutely useless
@Jake Lewis tyson wasn’t natural. Lol. And big arms doesn’t mean useless.
@@bobthecob8501 Mike tyson's structure was naturally much larger than your average man. Look at him with 16 years old. He is build different.
@@bingolevel4846 yes. His genetics are one in a million at least. He is built different. He also was on gear, as most top athletes in most sports are.
This is just MAGICAL.
What a PRIVILEGE to watch.
Thanks for an AMAZING documentary.
Thank you for recognizing the God of Muai Thai 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍Buakaw is very famous here in Australia 🇦🇺
Love from India 🇮🇳 to thai 🇹🇭 people who keep the martial spirit of Hanuman and Ram alive with their Muay Thai!
Fun Fact - The Flying Knee is called Hanuman Thayarn in Thai terms.
ขอบคุณที่รักคนไทย คนไทยก็รักคุณเช่นกัน จากไทยแลนด์ ❤🇹🇭
A muay Thai legend and master buakaw u are a legend and a king of muiy Thai. Scary dude never mess with this guy.
Buakaw was my favorite Thai boxer, his precision, power, timing and counters are a wonder to watch.
Never heard of this guy. HARD AS NAILS. Great documentary
Extremely grateful for documentaries on legends I admired as a kid, but something that is better than that is educating myself on legends that were competing well before I was even born. And it’s all thanks to Joe Vincent. Thank you for another chapter of sports legends documentaries
That is the best Buakaw documentary EVER, thank you! and i've watched them all...
damn they did this guy dirty & he still made a come up this guys a legend
Fan of buakaw from malaysia.. i love muay thai❤
❤❤❤
The most dangerous martial artist on the planet, simply a legend.
love your Buakaw documentary bro.
Buakaw is the embodient 'I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times'
Probably a million times in this case.
That's Muay Thai for ya.
Dieselnoi: I fear no man.
Mind blown 🤯
FROM AMERICA
RESPECT TO THIS LEGEND
3 matches, 11 rounds in one night. Fucking🐐
Well that's only two rounds more than the normal K1. I mean having 3 fights the same night. it's crazy.
This guy is my true and only inspiration ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Buakaw whole life has been worth a movie and your documentary on him was phenomenal!
Thank you!!!!!
In Thailand the crowds chanting along every kick is fuckin insane, it creates the unreal vibes when every single individual in the building gets engaged with fight like that
True! I grew up running around my neighborhood hearing men cheering MuayThai on TV at my uncle’s house. They cheer and chanting every hit. So every Sunday men are gather there and women at temple..just like in the US I guess. Lol
The dude is a real-life DBZ character. What a fucking beast. Thank you, J.V, for introducing me to this legendary warrior.
Joseph, do more docs, I love the way your docs are. they are way better than others and u even have some funny parts in it
thank you so much Joe for this documentary, I've been following Buakaw since I started to practice Muay Thai and he is one of my biggest idols, a true warrior 🙏🥊👑
I'm from India and Buakaw will always be an inspiration as a fighter in my family
Which state brotha
M.also a indian fan
Buakaw also embarked on an acting career, starring in 2010's Yamada: The Samurai of Ayothaya. Good movie.
This man is incredible is strength to just break someone down within a few hits is really remarkable. Seeing his opponents basically give up within a few mins is wild. Those hits hurt them 100%
