  • If gnarly enduro runs are your thing Upper B*tch is your trail. This is one of many excellent downhill runs off of Woodrow Rd at Michaux State Park in PA. If you combine the upper and lower section, the total descent is about 500 ft. You’ll want to shuttle this if you plan to get more than one run, or if you plan on sessioning it. Of course if you have an eBike that would be ideal. This trail is rated black on Trailforks and it is definitely deserving of that. So if you are an advanced rider who loves rowdy tech lines I would highly recommend this trail.

FTR (Follow The Rider) is a new series focused on mountain biking one or two specific trails. It will be different from my POV videos in that there will be no b-roll or music. The goal is to give viewers a look at a complete run from start to finish.

Another great video Sage. You and Dan make that steep Janky trail look lee intimating than I'm sure it is. My son in law just started going to Michaux. He said it's a great place to ride but probably better with a guide because it's so big. Probably going to make the 3hr trip some day and meet him there (He's near Fredrick MD)

OMG the GoPro def does not do it justice, lol. Regarding your Son-In-Law, if he is from Fredrick that would make sense that he would enjoy Michaux. But your right, it is def a hard place to figure out. I've done a few rides there and still get confused. Thankfully Dan usually has a route loaded in the bike computer, otherwise we would be SOL.

Brave riding these trails with the leaves and frost adding to the degree of difficulty

Oh man, you ain't kidding. Those leaves combined with the frost was slick stuff for sure!

Specifically the top portion of this trail, what makes this section interesting is the vast amount of line choices. I've ridden this trail countless times and when I slow down and look at things from different angles (which I've started doing more of), I find new ways to ride it. Keep up the great work!...Dan too!

You said it Josh. As I re-watch the video I find new lines I wish I had taken. Have you done all of Happy Hour? I would love to follow someone thru those big drops. If you get a chance check out the whole video from that day. th-cam.com/video/_zPDfmXQ_mU/w-d-xo.html

@@TrailSage I've done all of Happy Hour and I'd be more than happy to tow you off those drops. I can tell from your videos you have "slow drop" skills and that's really the technique needed for the big boy up toward the top. It's an intimidating approach for sure and if you come in/off too fast you'll land way too deep and absolutely blow through the turn creating all sorts of added trouble for yourself. That's a "someday" drop for a lot of riders I meet at Michaux and I've coached a few off of it. Most save it for another day though.

@@slantedground Love it! Let's make it happen for sure. Dan is still in recovery from his face injury, but when he is good to go I'll reach out.

It is no joke Zane. Lower B*tch has got a big sender and couple nice drops I think you would like. If you go also check out Happy Hour, that is another great DH off Woodrow Rd.

Amazing video bro. So good to see Danny again in your video.
At 2:00 when you said "I'm going to stay high", I thought: "Is he saying what I think he's saying?" 😎😂😂

I think getting "high" would have negative consequences on my riding, but who knows, lol. Thanks for watching Luis!
