WITS Junction Tour & Review 2020 // WITS University (RES LIFE)

- Good day, lovely people.
I combined the footage I had of my room and my review of my overall experience at Wits Junction. I stayed at Junction for about 2 months at the beginning of this year. I outline my experience at RES and some of the tips and tricks I learnt while staying there, as well as, some information that I learnt that about RES life that is not on the website.

just wanted to ask,if there are any sport centres(fields) nearby also,how far campus is from res,in case you miss the bus?
There is a bus to education campus which goes every half hour I think. So you can go and exercise there and use the gym. Campus is about 10/15km from res. The bus goes every 10 minutes at peak hour though and then every 30 minutes throughout the day, so you should be able to make it to campus.

Hey. Im doing my first year this year next year is my second year, i wanna go to wits Junction next year will i stay with someone cos im new in that res or i can apply for a bachelor room?
I think you can apply for whatever room size you want to when you not a first year. They have many different options. You can choose on your application
Hi..is it true that it only accomodates students for 10 months(Feb - Nov)?
If so what happens to those whom their academic year commence around early january?
Hi, from my knowledge Junction allows you to move in as soon as your classes start. I know some of my friends studying medicine moved into their rooms in January this year.

Hi, according to Wits APS scores I recieved a 42.
Do other female residences at Wits have a stove and fridge?
Most Res at Wits are catered where you have to go to the canteen and you can’t make your own food. You’ll have to do some research on each Res, I’m not sure about other Res facilities.
I thought The Junction was exclusively for postgraduates?
Nope, you can apply to stay there as an undergrad student.

Can we get a tour for the single rooms
Hey hey, I unfortunately moved out already so I can’t. But the single rooms are exactly the same as the doubles. Just split in half. You still get a kitchen, stove, microwave etc just in half the amount of space.
