Thinking about my dad, that served in Guam, then on to Mindano, Phillipines.
He was with the 25th Liaison Group in the US ARMY AIRCORP. RIP, DAD! His sisters husband was also in the Philippines ( Uncle Julius) on Luzon, fighting. Rip Uncle
My dad's brother, was a Marine and served in the Normandy invasion. My Uncle Jim. Rip. Salute to all that served in WW2.

The narrator says....
" Dawn will bring the test of combat...the ordeal of fire"
That's my Dad sleeping...5 seconds later the naval salvos start.... Yup

What precisely did we Americans win in that war? We have a few military bases in and around Japan and we pay the rent to them as well for all that, in the meantime our roads are filled with Japanese cars and we're even building their cars for them in our own country. The Japanese even own a lot of our roads and they own 7-Eleven, anchor brewing, much of Hawaii, Columbia pictures etc.

Very pathetic! When war broke out in Pacific? India being an important country and the most ancient civilization of the world was reeling under British occupation for continuing 200 years. We were starved people and the victims of Colonization had made us weakened than ever. We had a strength of 330 million people but most of them were poor and couldn't afford to buy salt for their daily supplement, not to talk about eating nutritious foods. Churchil diverted all our food grains to North Africa for feeding soldiers and officers of British Army. So when we talk about Ukraine and Russian war? we can't blindly support western countries due to their betrayals and imperial past. This is quite reasonable.
