For a standard 10 hole Harmonica I doubt either mic would make a difference in sound pickup. Just not that much area to cover. The preference would be in how the mic breaks up when playing if you're looking for some mean Blues sound. If you don't want distortion then you'd want the mic that picks up the natural sound of the instrument best. It may all come down to Apples vs Oranges.

Not need a volume knob, just a pedal. Dosen't really matter which type, an EQ, a boost, an overdrive, just stomp when you solo. Much, much cheaper
