    Somehow, my original snare drum was switched with the snare drum from this set. I tune it pretty high, and it sound really REALLY good!! Im so glad i was never asked to switch back again. My old Pearl Target snare is out there on a Stage custom kit somewhere cx

      @@JHCdrumsis that you on drums? If so, you sound incredible. How do the new Stage Customs sound compared to these GEN 2 or 3 SC? I think these sound better and I found a made in Indonesia kit for cheap.

      No way you could get that for 200CAD unless from a friend or someone who doesn't know what they have.

      @@wsantalitz7785 It's very possible. There's a kit on Craigslist in a Vancouver suburb and it is in mint shape with new heads for $300 CAD.Right now. Beautiful blue fade stain. 5 piece including matching snare. Seriously looks like brand new. I'm so tempted but I like standard shell depths. I came to hear what they sound like after seeing how friggin beautiful the kit is. Why they sell so low is because a lot of people dislike deep shells. I see kits like these every few months. Not necessarily Yamaha but Pearl or Sonor sometimes.

    Awesome video! My school has this exact same drum set, but in a different color. I hope to get a Yamaha Stage Custom drum set in the future for live performances if I save some money in my bank account. I might be getting the new version in Matte Surf Green or the Deep Blue Sunburst finish with the 700 or 600 series hardware pack.

      You can't go wrong with Yamaha! They sound great, look great, are affordable and the hardware has always been some of the best there is. Great choice! Enjoy. Thanks for your comment. Happy drumming!!!

      Philippine mahogany and Falkata with a double outer ply of Oak or a single outer ply of Birch. Cheers!

    hey, what is difference between advantage noaveau and standard stage custom ? and wich one do u prefer? ty

    • @JHCdrums
      @JHCdrums  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think the main difference is the lugs. The Nouveau's had plastic, clip in style lugs. A good idea but prone to breaking/cracking. Didn't really work out which is why they discontinued... I guess. Great drums, typical of Yamaha but the lug design was a bit of a miss.

    • @matekiske
      @matekiske ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JHCdrums okay but i see some reposts in internet that advantage noaveau is made from bunch if different shells, as standard stage custom is all birch shells. what about that ? just help me i have two option buy brand new stage custom standard and stage custom advantage noaveau, both of them same price, one from some local music store and one from personal seller (exelent condition) please…

    • @JHCdrums
      @JHCdrums  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@matekiske The advantage nouveau is mostly Philippine Mahogany with an outer layer of birch. Personally, I would choose the standard Stage Custom with traditional lugs. Stage Custom Advantage is the same. Stage Custom Birch is all birch.

    • @JHCdrums
      @JHCdrums  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If it's Stage Custom Advantage, it's Philippine Mahogany. If it's just Stage Custom, it's birch.

      The drum market varies depending on where in the world you are. This was a fair price for what was a near new drum set. It sold very quickly.

      @@JHCdrums what is better: yamaha stage custom or Yamaha rock tour ?

    • @JHCdrums
      @JHCdrums  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@unicajamalaga2 I would go with the Stage Custom. Be aware, the Rock Tour is a lower grade to the Rock Tour Custom (1990 - 94) The Stage Custom "Advantage" is a lower grade to the Stage Custom and has different lugs. You can't really go wrong with Yamaha. Their drums are great value across all price points and deliver the quality we've come to expect from Yamaha. Whatever your budget, go with what feels good to you. Yamaha is a great choice! Cheers

      @@JHCdrums 2nd question ⁉️ yamaha stage custom advantage or mapex Saturn V 🤔

    • @JHCdrums
      @JHCdrums  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@unicajamalaga2 It's hard to say. I'm currently playing a Mapex Armory and I'm extremely impressed with the quality and sound of the drums at such an affordable price point. I feel Mapex has arrived at the party and are certainly worth considering. At this stage, Mapex still don't have a great re-sale value but I think that might change... I think it comes down to personal preference and which kit feels best for you. Both are great drum kits for the price.
