  • Gen-Zs no send you o! Even if you have a track-record of calling down fire from Heaven😂😂😂😂. But what does scripture say about honouring our elders? “Obey your leaders and submit to them, since they keep watch over your souls as those who will give an account, so that they can do this with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you” (Heb. 13:17).
As the world evolves and civilisation takes over, we should not forget that HONOUR IS KEY especially in spiritual relationships.

If you actually read through the new testament, there are lots of verses that encourage us to treat them like the first scenario, Paul said treat older women like mothers, older men like fathers...He said give honour to whom honour is due, Respect to whom Respect is due e.t.c so many verses like that
Paul said if you share in our spiritual blessings, we also ought to share in your physical blessings (offerings, gifts, tithes)
Of course dont give Gods glory to any man but honouring them by greeting them properly, showing honour, respect to them is what the word says we should do o

@@topenoel1931 Is tithe meant for pastors or church? The Bible says in Malachi we give tithe so that the house of God doesn't lack. The pastors have changed the whole narrative. The Bible says some were called to be pastors, evangelists, teachers etc. My question is, why do pastors assume tithe belongs to them but not to teachers or the rest stated in the categories? Why not church members who are the house of God's remnants? Most of members can sleep hungry only to be prayed for & told go you're blessed. I am a Christian , born again & the issue of offering & tithe needs to be taught properly. When did a church become a pastor & family business?

You must be careful because Paul says to Cornelius when he kneels "Dont do that for I am a man like you" further when John throws himself down in front of the angel the angel rebukes sharply "only honor God in this way". It's normal to kneel or prostrate to greet elders in some cultures. Has nothing to do with Bible and does not take away from our honoring God. Many times we interpret the Bible through the lenses of our culture or lived experiences. Some things are neutral but we'll attribute good or bad to them depending on or world views.

    • @dux2ministries
      @dux2ministries หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@@emempj my response to the video was aimed at the idolizing spirit of older people in the church. The context of my comment is relating to the current human worship we have in the church. It's easy for people to be scared of what " father" or "spiritual mama" will say than what God is saying. Most ppl wont bow in worship of God because of the outfit they wear because it costs so much but when asked to bow and receive a blessing from a church father/mother they are quick to. I'm aware it's a cultural thing in most places even my culture and bowing is all over the old testament. My point is addressing the spirit behind the bow. Imost times the spirit behind the bow is the same one that comforts people in drinking pàraffin, eat grass etc all because "spiritual father /mother said we should. It's more of what they say than what God is saying. Yhwh is a jealous God God should receive reverential worship alone. God is not against giving honor to human beings older, younger or in the church. When Miriam and Aaron spoke against her brother Moses God was angry at the dishonor they showed moses. The question is ,in your heart when you do a heart check before the Spirit of God were you idolizing the person when you bowing down to them or not.

Honour that you may be honoured.
In some parts of Africa, women kneel before their husbands as a show of respect and honour, not to worship.
Now it's disgusting how many are bashing the first lady and giving accolades to the 'Gen Z' who even in her way of dressing, shows no honour nor respect even to God.
Worship is a lifestyle, not an act.
Aaand, most Gen Z are worshipping the god of this world ie, their phones, internet, conforming to the patterns of this world and such. If you see clearly, the millennial was reading her Bible, but the Gen Z was scrolling tiktok most probably.
The condition of those two hearts is completely different, one is proud and another honours Grace.

I read the comments and could only shake my head in disgust
The problem with the GenZ gen is a lack of regard and honor for those who came before them
While kneeling is a cultural thing, remember even Sarah called Abraham Lord as the Scriptures reveals
We are to give regard to those who have rule over us as Hebrews states
That we are all children of God is not in doubt, that we shouldn't worship men in place of God is clear in Scriptures yet some children of God have an access to God many a other child WILL NEVER have in their lifetime
GenZ's biggest issues are pride and an affinity to worldliness

Just as the commenter above me stated, this has nothing to do with humiliating oneself or idolizing another, it is simply Yoruba culture for women to kneel down when they greet an elder and for men to prostrate when they greet an elder. Us Yorubas have an obsession with respect and honour lol but I have no problem with that, it’s one of the beauties of the culture. The song that was playing in the background is a Yoruba song, hence proving that even the person who made this video is Yoruba.
