Loved hearing his last remark “ if a patient shows up in the ER in England with a second syncopal episode they automatically place an ILR . Well done National health service . 👏👏

You didn't talk about pacemakers. I have malignant neurocardiogenic syncope. It may have happened due to a virus I caught when I was 2 years old (my first syncope event) or it may be genetic (my brother suffered sudden death due to what is assumed this condition). I had a cardiac arrest while in the OR for another unrelated surgery. My heart stopped for 16 secs and I was fitted with a pacemaker that holds my heart rate at 70 if an event occurs. I now have had the pacer for ten years and just got the generator changed for a brand new one. It saved my life. None of the cardiac tests yielded any heart plumbing issues. My 2D echos are normal and so are the EKGs. What I suffer from is Sick Sinus Syndrome.

I passed out today during a panic attack. I’ve always felt like I had a heart issue because of my age it gets dismissed

No wonder I've heard so many terrible things about the treatment at CC.

Leave the virtue signaling out of syncope talks, please.
