  • If this could happen to me it could happen to anyone…I am your cautionary tale. It happened to me so I could make sure it never happens to you or to anyone you love. Love is beautiful. Commitment is amazing. Marriage is a powerful institution that requires the thought, introspection and research it deserves. It takes five minutes to get married and can take ten years to get divorced.

There's no such thing as a perfect marriage or relationship; they're all unique. What makes one person happy might not make another person happy. But I've found out that there's always a way to fix things. Five years ago, my wife and I were almost divorcing because we had problems in our marriage, but we managed to sort them out. It was a tough period, but we survived

I really get why what you're saying matters, and I honestly want to find happiness too. I've got a partner, and even though we're not together right now, I can't imagine life without her; my love for her is strong. I really miss her, and I'm fully committed to bringing her back. We've explored different paths, like therapy, to fix things.

Something Bethenny said that is so true and so profound was: “If it doesn’t feel right, it’s wrong.” So spot on…. and you don’t really need to justify what it is that doesn’t feel right- sometimes you can’t pinpoint or describe it, but it’s just a deep, gut feeling that eventually carried Bethenny through the divorce with grace, power and her daughter, all intact. 💕

This series is going to be riviting, and I am tuning in to every new posting. I have been on "team Bethenny" since RHONY. You were always the most interesting character (and most admirable) on the show because you had a goal and were determined to make your dream a reality. I felt very sorry for the way a "friend" treated you on that show and was very concerned that you may not be able to emotionally handle that terrible treatment. But you are strong and thank God you overcame it just like you have overcome this tortuous divorce. Like any true fan, I was hoping your ex was the real deal and a really good upstanding guy. But some of what I saw of his behavior on the show began to feel "off" to me. It seemed like he wanted you to be "the little woman" and also that he really didn't have a clue as to who you really were. It was obvious that he was from a different world from you, had a very different life experience and wasn't very savvy compared to you. Anyway, thank you for putting the information out there for other women who need help with this issue today or might need it for tomorrow. And once again, you have my admiration for once again being a survivor who came through the storm stronger and wiser.

He will get half of the assets acquired during the marriage including properties. He IS due that as would a wife if the tables were turned. If he doesn’t ask for spousal support, she need not pay. If there are children under 18 child support and joint custody will be part of the divorce settlement.
Your daughter’s future social security payments and 401k/Roth can also be divided as well since he makes less. If he goes after that too.

One thing I learned after a divorce (with a lot less money..) is if you have money or assets going in..NEVER NEVER EVER COMINGLE! This means cars accounts etc. keep anything separate and do not use commingled funds for any improvements payments or refinance…you WILL regret it.

So sorry you have gone through this Bethenny. I think as a culture we need to look at marriage again (it was made to control people thousands of years ago) and with the numbers of over 50% getting divorced then the other half lets look at how many women are stuck in an abusive relationship and can't get out. You got out - the money can be made again. Once entering into a marriage whatever you make during the marriage he has a right to half. You should get Mel B on the show too. I think this is truly raising awareness of narc abuse and how devastating it is.

Bethenny Bethenny Bethenny, I al so proud of you and your accomplishments self taught brilliant wisdom focusing every second on supporting and supporting $$ and Emotionally) Brynnie Pie.
LOVE PREVAILS ALL and with children, regardless of the circumstances, when your intentions revolved around love as they do in your case, it’s OK it works out.
I don’t pretend to understand the amount of stress you experienced, but I do know that decision you made on the whim or planned , even if it hurt you giving up your time with your girl for grandparents, was all for the best interest of your heart and soul. Your pretty Brynnie pie.
Nothing else matters, and you took in own hands with the support of the judge and moved out some of the madness. I feel like I know you as you wear your heart on your sleeve, and I’m telling you, I am a fan of yours who analyzes you based on your heart. You need to take a deep breath and trust that every decision you have made selflessly even if you cried in private because you felt it was the best for Brynn; was made by LOVE AND Brynn knows this in her heart today, and knew it in her heart as a little gem.
Your motherly instincts kicked in, even when you bypass the judge the attorneys, and you made sure you followed your heart, which will never leave you a stray when it comes to your daughter.
Thank you for sharing with us 10 year challenges for a two year agreement. You had to go through this to teach others 😅who knows possibly your own daughter. You handled everything like a pro. You put love your heart and Bri’s heart first.!!YA…. Se acabó finito.
I’m proud of the person that you are. I am honored. I receive feedback from you when you have the opportunity and I hope you know how much I adore you and truly you for always putting your daughter first.
You are a gem Bethenny. I also know this is very painful for you with the loss of your mother and again, I want you to hold your head high and smile. Smile because you her another opportunity to know her grandbaby. It is obvious how much they do each each other.
You have your daughter, the lotto . Brynn won the jackpot with Bethenny Frankle & mommy.
