    Just because it is old doesn't mean it isn't useful, nicely done, sir.

    Wow, this is handy for me. I picked up what could be this drill’s sister in Virginia earlier today, and its ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE. Mines also missing the flywheel but the guy i got it from had several old machines i may go back next week and see if i can salvage a wheel off of. Mine still has the original fixed/loose pulleys on the drive shaft and also seems like there was an extra area in the casting where a hand lever went to pul down the spindle manually like a modern drill press vs waiting for the auto feed to slowly drill through. Mines missing the nut that goes on the other end of the drive shaft where the handle for hand cranking goes through. Mines not got a model number on it but was made by the Buffalo Forge co, idk if later they acquired the patent rights or if its a “subtly tweaked” model issued as a competitor but im really glad to see theres another one out there

    I think that I have one of those in the barn ? Missing the flywheel but it does have most of the indexer on it . Was damaged and repaired before I got it .

    Could you do a treadle to drive the belt side of the drill? I love the video.

    • @ChopWithChris
      @ChopWithChris  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I could but the hand driven part works well
