I have the previous shape diesel 4x4 auto as I need the family vehicle + towing with off road ability and can confirm its very good. Any wet grass field, snow etc no problem to get through. Ordering my 4xe new version shortly
Thank you for a good review. I have a question, though. It is a plug-in hybrid, so what happens to the AWD if you go off-road and the battery runs out. Are you then stuck in FWD and perhaps stuck in the wildernis?

Very nice car, i have a diesel jeep renegade and its amazing, thinking about getting a compass in the future at some point, pity they don't do diesel anymore, but that being said id still be happy with the petrol compass or petrol hybrids, I like the look of the trailhawk one but the nighteagle ones look great too, definitely a contender for next car, be a choice between the jeep compass or ford puma or Kia Sportage all are nice
So nice to see and hear another spot on review by Rebecca.🥳 i see that the SUV/CUV craze has hopped over the pond from the states. The other two vehicles are not sold here, however, i would go Kia/ Hyundai instead , based on cost, warranty, and reliabiity over the Fiat/Jeep. 🤔
Well it looks purposeful, different from the SUV clones out there. That said, it doesn't look like £40K's worth. If I had that sort of money to burn on a family car I think I could do better.
Another well rounded and honest review from Rebecca. However, let's just remind ourselves that the slightly higher price point does reflect its off-road capabilities. So perhaps one would expect rivals such as the Peugeot 3008 to be less expensive. Keep up the good work though guys.
I have a 2024 plate 4xe and have had for around 4 months. Plenty of power, comfortable, smooth for rolling around and capable for modest off roading. However the economy/range is appalling, the bonnet flaps past 75mph, gearbox is hesitant in sports mode, smaller than you’d expect as a family car and general build quality is poor. It’s nice to have as a cheap lease car, but I’d never own one
As unfashionable as I'm going to sound I don't see the point in plug in hybrids, that car needs a diesel engine and I don't like the large screen sitting proud of the dashboard.
@@nigelrowe2204 Fiat-Chrysler? Perennial issues with electrics, mainly, although it may be that this Jeep improves that -- hybrid drives are inherently more reliable. And I have owned a Fiat which was no less reliable than anything else I've driven.
@@MrDuncl Congestion charge may not be of relevance, depending where you live 🙂 Fuel charges aren't such a big issue when compared with the price of the car in the first place either (having said that, I've just swapped my Evoque for a Chinese EV 😂)

Thanks for the great comprehensive review. Still thinking about it.
The Compass looks good

Very good question ...all electric 4 x4 would be a better option.

The car will switch back to gas/petrol hybrid mode before the battery dies completely. all plug in hybrids work pretty much the same.
I think the battery is charged by the gas engine if it needs to.
@@saairgunner5925 Well I think by referring to her as 'that CarGuru chick' you're even less likely now to get a reply.
Thanks for the review!!! Hope this is released in the states soon! We only have the wrangler 4xe and the grand cherokee 4xe
Great Review! But, I already have a Jeep Compass.

Can a tow bar be fitted to this car? Can I tow a trailer? The brochure says it is not suitable. Why is it not suitable?
Great review Rebecca but I’m not convinced, especially at £40k.. (Phil)
Not a word about the battery at the back and its use!
Does the trailhawk/limited 4xe 1.3 have any towing capacity?

Great review thanks. Nicely balanced, informative - doesn’t ‘lose direction’ 🙄
Glad you liked it!
What is the actual real world fuel economy?
loving this...
Jeep seem to be keen on out pricing themselves.
The Compass E Hybrid is well priced

It has alot of options though...
For a PHEV this class? Good luck ... let us know what you find cheaper than this ....

Great 👍 enjoy
@@CarGurusUK I will thank you. I hope this is Rebecca haha.
Nice car, and nice review, but for £40k I would ad £5k more and buy a lexus nx.
subcribe because of rebecca, knew her since carbuyer lol and that half inch in height is so her trademark😅😅
❤️
This is a proper SUV, don’t compare it with other so called “SUVs” in this segment that are actually crossovers 😒
Its a fiat, its a crossover 😂
😍😍
This what I find with the hybrid system, terrible economy when the engine fires up..! Love the hot lipstick 😳 x
👍
👍🏼😍
£40k ? For that ? Stellantis has a sense of humour but the joke’s on you….
pre owned,they may b3 fairly priced 😅
only SUV which has 4low option in this price range... know what you are buying before you pay for.
Who the hell buys such cars? Even Rebecca is helpless to drag my attention to this "thing"
It's simply replacing the previous model which was not a hybrid. Jeep have done the same with the smaller Renegade model.
You always mention that extra 1/2 inch in hight😂
i get an average fuel economy of 30mpg, lol!

ARGH! Would you PLEASE stop saying "4-x-e" it's "4-by-e" (you know, like "4-by-4" only it's an "e")
Great review, the car, hmmm. Likely to be unreliable.
In what way?

Or just buy a diesel Evoque or Discovery Sport for around the same money..........?
Have you seen the price of Diesel and congestion charges recently ?

Cheap and nasty.
like your mother i guess....
One of the ugliest suvs this year. 👏 Jeep.
