To ask, if we have three of the same class, and we use Collab Ultra in the BB platform...currently each collab has a singular link so one has to do three presentations for the same class, BUT...is there a way to do all three at the same time? Thanks for any insight here.
Hi, I have a question - I have to do a spoken presentation where I will be using a Powerpoint but speaking at the same time. I will have my notes on a separate Word document on my laptop. If I use the 'Share Files' option to upload and present my Powerpoint on Collaborate Ultra, while I am presenting, if I view my Word document, will it then show the word document or will it stay on the powerpoint so that no one can see I am switching to the Word document? Hope that makes sense. Thanks

Can you annotate on screen share like the whiteboard? We need the ability to screen share live data and annotate and mark up the live data as its happening for the participates.

At 3:14 of this video for reference, can you annotate and draw things while screen sharing either your entire screen or while you screen share a specific application? We need to share live financial charts in Realtime and annotate in real time. Blackboard appears to not have annotation while screen sharing entire screen or application. Based off your demo, I see annotation in Whiteboard mode, and if you upload a picture or document.
@@KeeblurD Hello when you share your screen you can do anything as long as whatever you are sharing allows it. In other word, if you are sharing a presentation and it has a markup option that allows you to make annotations then you can do so. However, there are no built in tools on collaborate that allow you to annotate while sharing the screen. I hope this makes sense.
@@TheProfessor411 Thank for you confirming. That is a deal breaker for us to use blackboard. We need the ability to annotate anything that we share, whiteboard, screen sharing an application that is not a word document, or PowerPoint. We will need to look into alternative solutions.
Is there any way to see who has watched a class recording? I know you can see a report of who watches live -- but what about when someone watches the recording? And why don't we get to see who answers what on the poll?
Yes, what you can do is copy the recording link. Then you can create an item under a learning module and share the link and mark track views in the options.

Hello, When I share content screen/application. I can't see my students nor see the chat in case they have a question while I am sharing. They can see my screen and see all the setting, but my screen is full view and I can not see them.
Hello Chasidy. When you share your screen or files etc you cannot see the students, because you are sharing. So the main view will be that of the presentation or whatever you are sharing with your students. If you are presenting a PPT for instance, and you selected share files. The PPT will be the main picture on the screen. You will see yourself in the lower left-hand corner (small) and whatever student is speaking will appear in the right-hand corner (small). In order to see the chat, you need to go back to the little chat icon in the control panel. It looks like the thought bubble. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
like when your professor tells you to open your camera but your background is not good, and you want to change it with a better background using a picture, can you use a green screen on a blackboard collab?

No, it will not show the word document if you share files.

I am not sure I understand your question. Where on the screen share do you want to annotate?

Hi I have not tried that yet. However, try using Manycam and see if it works with Blackboard collab.
