Lacan is always introducing people to something new and I heard about him and FNAF at the same time. Does not mean I have played any FNAF game though. So I watched the Minecraft FNAF episodes and boom, wrote like nearly 20 articles about Lacan´s thought and influence.
Hi sam in your previous podcast with graham harman he say lacan is diffcult and reading lacan is like panning for gold .i want to know in what sense graham regard lacan as diffcult?
Hating on Peterson is a damn easy thing to do in a place such as this. While I accept many of the criticisms towards him and I absolutely see how inscrutible to the point of seeming like pseudo profound bullshit his speeches can be, I do not agree in the slightest he is not an original thinker, let alone that his is not an intellectual. My views about his points have changed substantially after reading Maps of Meaning. If anyone wants to engage in a serious critique of his thought I suggest they read it. It might very well be that it will not change your mind about him, but this is where he makes his points the strongest, unlike in hectic discussions spanning across multiple topics.
Once you actually read jung, you realize Peterson has nothing original of his own that is comparable. Then there's also the issue of his use of data being flat out wrong and dishonest.
yes Peterson pulls jung out of the belly of the whale 🐋 😄 and brings him back to Christianity. or after Zizek curb stomping in their debate and had to go to daily wire when his world fell apart. 😂
In my book, Lacan is the real father of Fred Fazzbear, thus the originator behind FNAF. Jung is the father of Jungian psychoanalysis. His writing inspired the disturbing concept of identifying as an animatronic figure in mental illness. Yes we all know who created FNAF, however Lacan is the main inspiration behind that. After Lacan finished Écrit, people began to show more respect towards animatronic figures and their worlds than before, and started to create their own worlds to sell their names as brands. Lacan was not supporting that in his writings, however. He never mentioned that anyone could identify as an animatronic figure, but serves as one of the main factors which drove Afton to think that he could split his personality and identify as multiple animatronic figures, such as Fred and Bonnie. Each represented different aspects of Afton´s personality, notably Bonnie who seems to represent his left brain. Its a scary concept which resulted from the horrors of WWII related trauma: Lacaan wanted to create his own world, a universe he could live in, and always escape to, from the horrors of war´s torment, resulting in the completion of Écrits after purchasing his own house and successfully scamming the nazis into allowing himself to spend his time alone to study the Chinese language, and thus the history of much of Asia and China - a brilliant and well done move with Écrits serving as one of the greatest pieces of 20th century literature ever made together with Jung´s Red Book and Man and His Symbols. Thanks for this!! Best wishes to you from Iceland!!
The MAIN difference is that Jung and Lacan are original thinkers, while Peterson is an entertainer with an advanced degree.
Agree, haha!
@@RahulSam Exactly! You need original thought to create an original concept which is born decades after you die.
Fact . JP is a pseudo intellectual ☠️
Great! Introduced me to Wilfred R. Bion! Thanks
Glad to hear!

The prose, I guess.

I agree. While I wouldn't call myself a Jungian I certainly would think of Jung as an ideologue like Peterson; in fact, Jung was a creative genius.
One of these is not like the other.
Definitely agree. Worth the discussion, though.
The difference is that peterson is not a philosopher dude. Why would you even want to include him in this discussion ?
Agreed. Completely different leagues.
Where is Freud here? Without Freud there is no Jung or Lacan
Freud is a given 😉

Ah haha! I couldn't have put it any better myself.
Wtf Why u comparing an pseudo intellectual JP with one of the greatest intellectual Carl Jung
Haha! Not a comparison, mate, but a classification 😉
Peterson isn’t even an intellectual , let alone a philosopher 🤣
In my book Peterson is the creator of Petersonianism, which is in a way its own knowledge system.

Thanks, mate. I have bookmarked this comment and will read it carefully later. Appreciate the engagement. Would love to visit Iceland one day!
