This track (more presicely, the parts without words or chicken sounds) was used in crime news on Ukrainian TV in late 90s. Surprisingly, it fit the mood.
My best friend found this album in a bargain warehouse bin about 12 years ago; tomorrow will be 10 years since she took her life. This ridiculous song helps me remember just how unique and beautiful she was. Damn, I miss her 💜
Brilliant song! I bought "Looney Tunes" on vinyl brand new way back in 1990. Used to play it allot, always thought it was a more unique album compared to "Wonderful World", their previous record. Still have the lp. Also had a cassette of it, it had a couple of demos, this song had a demo that was on the cassette. And no it wasn't a remix, I'm sure of it!
Dan Lacksman from Telex is still alive and kicking in Brussels.Unfortunedly his companion Marc Moulin passed away some years ago. They made a lot of fantastic stuff also with a band named Placebo. Also they made a laugh of the European Songcontest, great humor!
Around the time this song came out I was in college. We used to travel on a highway to get to a bigger town to go to the large mall there. Along this highway there was a house with a big front yard that hat this big.....bird statue with a man’s head attached to it. Some odd form of modern art. We called it the “Temporary Chicken” statue in honor of this song! 🤣 🐓
I found this record 20 years ago in a very, very used record shop in Louisville. Now, I am thrilled to find it on the net. Maybe I'll finally learn what Temporary Chicken is all about! :)
my dad said this was the dumbest song he knew, so we went looking for it so I could know of temporary chicken. we made it about a minute and a half in before we quit. Now for some strange reason I'm back
What a crack of shit. I heard it on a maxi show one Saturday night when it was released in the 80's. Never could forget it. Always my top worst song ever listened.

Mick Moers is still alive and well too. In fact I think he's in the studio now.
Fantastic Song from a really underrated album!
Thanks for uploading :D
1:44 The part Dan T. uses in videos! I am so relived to have found it.
@blusterthebenevolpede Glad that you found this brilliant crazy song!
Hahahha!! So weird I bumped into this comment. Yes I do use the OW OW

Great story! Thanks! :-)
Showed this to my mate; She said she immediately pictured a pigeon bouncing his head while walking around to the beat.

Its a song about going to work... in a very weird way
I think you have to be a full time chicken. Never see any ads looking for temporary chickens.

+Stephen Wagner TELEX is like that. I started out with "This is the worst thing I ever heard" and now I have all their albums on CD.
I KNOW, right?!?!! It’s so awful....but somehow catchy!
@@meta404 Exactly how I ended up as a Telex fan. First time I also thought they were garbage... Now I'm a hardcore fan. XD
Wow, mad discovery
I used to hear this on 91.3 WAPS in Akron when they played all they weird stuff.
I had a demo version on cassette...so wack...but you can't stop!
Party time chicken 🐔
...part time chicken!
Cool stuff :)
Say what you will, but that chicken has bars.

Absolutely random P2P find from the golden age of all those shitty programs.
