Hi Guy's, I'm the guy that purchased the Roadmaster from Kyle. The odometer now show's 82,500 mi I have done a lot to the car---No worries it's still stock the way the video show's it. When I purchased the car from Kyle's Family Used car lot I drove it home( I lived in Pinehurst NC at that time) I had to replace the whole suspension front and rear bushings and upper lower A arms(since the ball joints where bad and steering links worn) so I replaced it steering box to power steering box. this was a problem with the B and D bodies. What a difference in ride and steering it made I took it on my yearly trip to seattle wa and it was just awesome. got 28 mpg at 70 mph any faster it would drop quick.I had a tune up Done at my local dealership(wires plugs water pump and opitspark) Long story short ran great for a year but 2 of the plug wire's shorted out and fried the whole ignition...Nomore Dealership service I found a great Mechanic and it's in the shop getting it all done plus I purchased Taylor breaded wires( nomore burnt wire on the exhaust manifold) also New fuel pump assembly with sending unit and fuel regulator) all the cooling hose's and a All Aluminum Radiator since my mechanic found the plastic tank's leaking....We are no waiting on a New updated wire harness that GM had a recall and it will be ready to Road trip to Seattle Wa. This is a great car to travel in the only thing left to do is getting the Driver seat Repaired and it will be Done and Awesome. I will update with New pic on Kyle's TH-cam channel. Cheer's Robin...
I thought the 95s already had the upgraded brass terminal. As I understand it, it was the 94s that had the zinc post that tended to cause a fire. I have two 94s and replaced the zinc post with the brass one. (after one of them did a total melt-down, hence my learning of the recall). Yep, any car this old would at LEAST need new control arm bushings. The suspensions tend to be the most ignored aspect on cars. I think I must have rebuilt 2-3 dozen suspensions in my life. The results are very rewarding. Heck, most people don't even ever replace their shocks and/or struts!
I had a 1992 Buick Park Avenue, here in France. Common car for you boys, but here...What a dream it was to slowly cruise in the tiny streets of my french town.I miss her. This one Roadmaster makes my day. Thanks!
Yours has the "Prestige" package for the Limited which includes: Twilight Sentinel, Trunk Pulldown, Cornering Lamps, Memory Seat and Heated Seats, etc. This package was not available in the base model, but available only as an option on the Limited. The acceleration is impressive not only because of the car's 4200+ curb weight, but also because it had tall 2:56 gears!
Bender Rodriguez Absolutely love the Park Avenues. I currently drive 2012 Nissan Altima, and right now I'm actually looking for a good used Park Avenue (somewhere 97-99 model). My grandmother had one and it was a terrific highway car. Don't get me wrong, I like my Altima, but I think certain Buicks are better as far as driving feel.
I am shocked how similar the Roadmaster is to the Cadillac. Same power train and similar body shape. The dash is more plain than the Cad, but all the other stuff is very close. The ww tires and wire hubcaps really spruce up the exterior, giving it a more modern look and less dated for its years. I have never looked that close at the Roadmaster very close, but am shocked what a value it really is. This is truly one of your best reviews ever. It is so refreshing to someone as young as you, appreciating comfort and value above high styling and compromising convenience and comfort. Again...your review was amazing. Has to be one of the best yet.
I agree with your last part, I am a young car guy who loves performance and handling etc, but for everyday LA traffic Commuting I want a couch on wheels, no sense in uncomfortable seats and stuff suspension if you spend the majority of your day in bumper to bumper traffic
Thanks for the in depth tour, my dad had a burgundy one, and this brought back so many memories, I felt like I was right there with dad again. That was the best riding and quietest car I've ever been in, and plenty of power too.
The best part about this video is the great amount of pride you have in every car you own...whether is was the Lexus, the Genisis or this...you take care of your possessions and you don't feel the need to impress ANYONE. Keep it up Kyle...
Had a cream toned one...it was actually slightly yellow so we called it the Banana. It was a fantastic vehicle. I spent a lot of time on the road being a stockbroker at several bank branches in different towns and driving this vehicle was a joy. It handles like a dream. Had a Lincoln Town Car that couldn't touch the ride or the driving dynamics. It glides for miles. Love, love Loved the comfort of the ride and it didn't get bad fuel economy either. You're one lucky ducky to find that car. It's fantastic.
I want one man, I live in LA, with all the traffic and shitty roads and Indian summers, I wouldn't mind sitting in a big comfy roadmaster absorbing speed bumps and potholes with a GM air conditioning keeping me comfortable when it's 90 degrees outside.
This video both informed me of the existence of these particular cars AND made me fall in love with them. I bought a 94 a couple of years ago and I've thoroughly enjoyed it. Now I have a 95 Fleetwood and sadly I must say goodbye to the Roadmaster soon. They are excellent cars with an absolute minimum of problems.
WOW ! 6 ish seconds for 0-60 MPH that's impressive for such a big car... Although it probably consumed a gallon of gas to do that... lol ! Nevertheless, they sure don't make cars that ride this good anymore. Pity. They weren't called Buick Roadmasters for nothing. I miss the ride quality of my 1981 Pontiac LeMans, and those full width front seats.
Man I'm just floored by how amazing the condition of your car is, but then that should surprise me because anyone with such a great interest in cars would certainly keep their own in tip-top shape. Nice!
My grandparents had either a 1992 or 1993. It was a silver Limited, and of course had that bellowing horn. They baught a 2000 Park Avenue, and my grandpa passed away a year later, leaving it to my grandma. When she stopped driving, my cousin got it and currently it has about 35,000 miles. Buicks are true legends!
What really stood out for me in this video was that you included some of the flaws of the car, i know it was your own car and you may not be able to do that with other cars as the manufacturers may get angry or whatever. But if your are able I think it would be a great addition to the videos, giving potential buyers both sides of the story etc. Even so great video as per usual, thank you for making them.
Gotta love this guy... He tests everything from brand new Lamborghini's, Ferrari's, Aston Martin's to throwback Cadillac Fleetwood's, Buick Roadmaster's even Mack Trucks. Keep is up!
Do you want to know what else is a pity? The fact that GM had to detune the Corvette’s LT1 V8 just so it could be used in the Roadmaster, Fleetwood & Caprice!! I’m sorry, but what good is it when General Motors takes the engine from one of the greatest American sports cars ever (i.e. the Corvette) and puts it in their Roadmaster, Fleetwood and Caprice cars only for them to then detune it in the end?!?! I just don’t get it!
I love this car. I was driving through rural France last year when I saw one parked in a petrol station. You don't see many American cars in France, and this beautiful Buick stood out. Thank you for the great review kyle.
The Cadillac Fleetwood is the D-Body car which is a stretched B-Body frame. The wheelbase of the Cadillac Fleetwood was 121" over the 116" of this car and the Caprice/Impala.
Clean the undercarriage and engine compartment regularly. Don't let pets in your car. Don't eat in your car. Don't drive in snow or salted roads. Get a junker to drive daily. Take care of the cars you love and want to keep for decades.
saabkykle04 that was a great informative review I recently bought my first car which is a 2000 Buick LeSabre custom with just over 53,000 miles then Buick the run forever they're good cars thanks again for the great reviews I really enjoy watching them
Jeremy Clarkson "It's rubbish" but what does that angry welsh man know Murica nice ride dude I had a 91 Ford Crown Vic LX loved the Hell out of that car 5.0 litre previous owner put a shift kit in it along with the trailer hitch that thing ran strong you could burn the tires off of it and rode like a dream new sub
What I can’t understand is why so many thumbs down for his videos. Maybe they envy him. Well that’s their problem Kyle, you keep on doing what you do sir!
Thiis is my favourite of all your reviews! Love how you go into all the details about it. I know this car is special to you, but if possible do all your reviews like you did this one. You made me want a Roadmaster! And here in Europe they are very rare, only seen a couple of wagons.
one of my favorite cars to come out of the nineties. would get the 94 (cause that is my year) reminds me of my grandfather cause he loved his Buick, and that smell of cigars.
I'd drive one of these if I didn't feel like every at school would laugh at me, I'd honestly get this over a muscle car because there so much more sffordable given that I don't make much and would have to worry about getting parts, also looks so different from cars now and looks really comfy, can you tie with the roadmaster
I never really looked much into these cars. But it really has a lot more features than i thought an older car like that would. Also like that you are passionate about what you like, nice car kyle :)
Had to watch this video twice... what a car! I would have done the same thing as you selling the Hyundai for this. This is such a more personal car that you can keep in a tip top shape and have it with you forever. Keep up the good work, your best video yet.
Wow very clean, I wish I could get the chrome on my car to look that clean. It really is nice, I'm glad you finally uploaded the video. I think this is an amazing car, much wiser decision on this over the Genesis. I hope you enjoy it for many years to come.
Wow that is one mint Roadmaster. What a beautiful car as it's probably the nicest one I've ever seen! I'm very interested in getting one of these in the future when I have the money. I love all of the chrome, the interior and the white wall tires just top it all off. Great review and enjoy that car!! It will be very reliable for years to come.
Thanks Kyle for that awesome look at your Buick Roadmaster. I have a 1995 Park Avenue myself. These Buicks may have their quirks, but they are very comfortable daily drivers and highway cruisers. Keep up the great work.
Excellent review. One of the most comprehensive reviews I've looked at. Well done sir. Makes me want to investigate the Roadmaster for my next car. Like the power and sound of the LT1. Luxury comfort.
I'm not a particularly big fan of the Roadmaster, but your car looks stunning. Congrats man, I'd say that this car has more character than the Genesis.
I'm just about to purchase a '95 from an old man on Craigslist. I have an '85 Riviera at the moment, but it's reaching the end of it's life. My camshaft bearings are worn and it has several oil leaks. The interior is a wreck and the electrical parts are starting to wear. It's going to be tough to let it go, but this video has definitely made me want a Roadmaster.
Absolutely beautiful car. Perfect condition and cleaner than any I have ever seen. I couldn't think of an owner that could appreciate/care for it better than you. I'm not sure which is luckier, the car or you. Great review Kyle. Enjoy that car!! Ryan
How interesting! I was really impressed with the way the Buick drove. I envisioned myself behind the wheel. A smooth rider, I imagine. And it's so clean inside and out. Gotta have one for myself.
This car grew on me in this video. Im a Crown Victoria guy so I know what you like about the big full-size V8 cars....roomy, reliable and power on tap; can you ask for much more? This Buick is clean though, I like it! I had a white 1994 Crown Vic LX that no one understood why I loved it so much haha everyone called it a grandma car, but that thing was fun and just a nice car. It had cornering lamps also!
Kyle I love that you have a leather Polo keyring. I've had one just like it on my keys for almost 20 years! You can barely make out the little guy on the horse anymore, but it's still going strong lol.
Nice car! I hope you get to the 2012 NY Auto show. I was just there yesterday. It's great to see the new technology and get a sense of where the auto industry is headed. I bet you would do a great job covering the event.
And lo and behold, he was actually very impressed by it! Big, roomy, powerful, and comfortable. Nothing wrong with it at all, really. However, this guy kept stopping to let us know he grew up in these big wagons and hated them, mostly because his parents drove them. Like you said, generational. Anyway, the guy was won over by the Roadmaster Estate but never could bring himself to fully admit it. He was apologizing for even thinking of liking the car in his last sentence of the review.
Beautiful automobile. Bought mine brand new in '95.Only difference was mine had everything you have and Trailer Town Pack, and Astroroof. That LT-1 and the Tow Pack rear ratio, X-tra cooling made it more than a perfect car. I miss it STILL TIL THIS DAY. ENJOY MY FRIEND.
I enjoy periodically reading your reviews Kyle. Loved this one on your 1995 Buick Roadmaster. I used to love the look of these cars back in the 90's. I considered buying one in 1995 and 1996. Ended up buying a 1996 Pontiac Firebird convertible instead (big mistake). I love these big road cars. I drive a 2010 Lincoln Town Car these days.

Thanks Kyle for that awesome look at your Buick Roadmaster. I have a 1995 Park Avenue myself. These Buicks may have their quirks, but they are very comfortable daily drivers and highway cruisers. Keep up the great work.
My uncle and aunt once owned a roadmaster station wagon. Sitting in the rear facing seats was something else
This is a true full-size sedan. Back then American car companies had two classes of large vehicles: full-size and flagship sedans. Both were massive!
Excellent review. One of the most comprehensive reviews I've looked at. Well done sir. Makes me want to investigate the Roadmaster for my next car. Like the power and sound of the LT1. Luxury comfort.
This car is what I expect from a Car Enthusiast. Faaantaastic car!

Wow, that was a really good video! At first I was thinking, 27 Minutes! Then I watched the whole video. Good job.
Nice video. There’s something about these cars that just relax me. If I only had more space in my driveway.
That's a lot of technology for a 1995 car!!
Great car Kyle!!!
hey dude, when i say American cars, i say this kind of car. Your car. Pure and true American, you should be proud to have this jewel dude.
Love the Limited courtesy lights, beautiful car, and a great video as always keep up the great work! :D
I love these big old cars, and it's awesome that you're reviewing a nice "Wide Ride"!
I recently picked up a 1993 with only 52k miles on it. I love my roadmaster!
Nice vid Kyle!!!
i saw the pics on facebook but had forgot but when i saw the bass knob in the center console i remembered the nice system u have in this car
Nice man! My friend had a 94' Caprice, first on the LT1's. Incredibly fast car for its size. Nice cars!
It's a very very nice car! take care of it! Rare to see a 22 years old man have an old boat like that.
That is EXACTLY what us in the UK thinks American cars should be like, I absolutely love it!! You are very luck to own one :-)
