Just got my z fold 6 and loving it was a bit discouraged because my diabetes monitor didn't want to work with it but my son figured out how to make it work I am loving my phone now TFS
One thing that really annoyed me about one UI 6.1.1 is the lack of GIF making from the side panel 😭 I hope they add it back as I actually used it quite a bit
Great video. One thing, you can put the buttons into left handed mode! Under navigation options you can see 'more options' then switch to left handed. If you get the labs app you can also get more left handed options including having the buttons on the left side.

I agree!! Fold should come with the S-Pen, especially if you consider how expensive this phone is, I think Samsung wants you to buy S-Pen pro which is again really expensive.
Truly, the only time to use the pen is when you open it up. On the ultras, not many people used it. Samsung is aware of that. We just like the pen cuz it was convenient on the main bigger screen. When you get the fold, you're not gonna always want it open so that it lasts you. You know you are not gonna want a refurbished $2k phone down the road because the screen went bad on the one you originally bought... from constant opening. So the idea of the pen being incorporated would not be a good idea cuz they want to keep the phone slim and work effectively with it's foldable screen. IMO... not having the pen isn't that much a deal breaker to me. I mainly use the front screen cuz it feels comfortable even though it's narrow. Then when I open it, I'm like... 👀👀👀🤯🤯🤯 s-pen who? 😂😂😂

1 tip ill add is about the battery protection. USE ROUTINES. Personally i wish the adaptive would use the maximum protection and then switch to full charge before i wake up so i have a routine that has , when i am home and its 10pm have maximum protection on until 3:59 am Then another that is when i am home and its 4am swap to adaptive mode. Routines has many options for different things. Another example is when i am home turn data off and wifi on and when i leave turn data on and wifi off. Makes it easy so i dont have to do the little things
Awesome video! Very very helpful. I have a pretty important question. The prompt to use Gemini keeps popping up when I use Google Assistant. I have a lot of smart home products and I use Google Assistant everywhere on all devices. And the new Galaxy watch ultra I use Google Assistant also. If I switch to Gemini on my phone, what effects will that have with how I communicate with all of my smart devices. Also I haven't seen anything that shows adding Gemini to the watch ultra. Is there a confliction between the two or will they work together? This is super important. I thought I remembered reading something where once you clicked on Gemini you couldn't go back to assistant. I don't know if that's true or not. Some great advice would be very helpful here. I think there is a way to switch back to Google Assistant from Gemini, seems like there are a lot of steps. support.google.com/assistant/thread/278536967/is-it-possible-to-revert-back-to-google-assistant-if-you-don-t-like-gemini-on-your-android-phone?hl=en I feel eventually Google will phase out Assistant for Gemini and there will be no way to revert back.

Hi i noticed at 1:46 you have super fast charging? I thought that it only supports 25w charging therefore fast charging only, how were you able to get super fast? Thank you and great vid btw!
Thank you, and It is indeed 25 Watts charging, I cross checked with the cable, the max this phone takes is about 24 watts, Samsung calls it 'Super Fast Charing' for some reason 😂 I am using Samsung EP-T2510 25 Watt charger.
I'm kind of disappointed how expensive this phone has become. I do like the feel of the new hinge though,feels better than my Fold 4. If the Fold 7 will finally bring a wider exterior display i will finally replace it
I can relate because I had to sell my flip 5 along with S22 Ultra just so I could buy the Fold or else it's just way too expensive. I do love the design, the hinge is solid, already dropped the phone facing down and nothing happened, they've made a ton of improvements to the design and the functionality is unlike any other smartphone, BUT the pricing is insane, and yes, wish it had a wider cover screen, like Google's foldable. Edit: I'm actually loving the narrow screen, it's so easy to type with one hand.

None of these settings will damage the battery, you can charge whenever and however you want. The best way is to set it to adaptive and leave it there all the time, the phone will learn your sleep pattern and adapt charging by itself.
Good lock app > Navstar > enable extra gesture settings. Go back to system settings > display > navigation bar > more options > swipe from bottom Just in case you haven't found the solution yet!
I wish, but I cant afford Flip and Fold together, however, 80% of the things I've shown in this video should also be applicable to the flip 6 so you can follow this guide.
You can also look up his Flip 4 videos otherwise, somethings obviously have changed due to updates, you can use the infos from this video for those parts, but a majority is still similar and you can look up those older videos😊
Settings-home screen-cover screen mirroring (off) home screen layout (home screen only) this might make you have to reorganize your home screens if it's not currently on this setting

Hey, I did not recommend any setting that would cause apps to not show up in the app tray 🤔 I just double-checked and it sounds like a bug to me. Might want to change the sort setting to alphabetical order and see if it shows up?

I have found the outer screen on the fold 6 to be bigger than the 3 rendering it easier to use.

S23 Ultra has a FAR better camera than the Z-Fold 6, you will miss the zoom. keep your S23 ultra if you use the phone as camera.
