Scarlet, a young woman travels to meet her biological parents on a remote island. She travels to their remote home, and starts to get to know the family she's never had. As secrets surrounding her adoption are revealed, she starts to realize that something sinister could be afoot. She attempts to leave, but the ferry has stopped running, and she is forced to stay the night. Scarlet is awoken in the middle of the night by what appears to be someone wearing a life size fox costume in a rocking chair. Scarlet flees, but finds herself locked inside the house, and is then chased by her father wearing the suit. Trapped in her room, Scarlet is subdued and sewn into the suit by her parents, who tell her 'We didn't give you up, we would have never let you go.'

These people that dress up in furry costumes meet and go online and meet at conventions... Always freaked me out! I would hope in this day and age a young lady with know how to defend herself... Never accept a drink from a unknown family member or stranger, always carry a can of mace or knife or a weapon to defend yourself. When traveling teller friend where you going to be and leave a name and phone number and address of your location and your travel time.
Loved it very anxiety driven , like a creepy real life FNAF!

I like a creepy "discovering your true origins" kind of story. And that lead, Georgina Campbell, she's really, really a good actress.
I adore that this was a secret folk horror. Wouldn't mind seeing this story expanded.

Georgina Campbell is one of the most beautiful actors, in my opinion. Her American accent is spot on. She's been in British films and series for a long time, but her breakout roll was "Barbarian". She's masterful acting in the horror genre.
Didn't see that one coming at all. Really well done. Those two were a perfect balance, what a freakin' couple. Like an evil Yin and Yang.

Well, if it was most of us logical folks.. We'd just play nice for a minute till we could grab something to knock the shit out of both of them with, and then go out a window. I can think of another few alternatives for easy escape. I think this was more meant to be conceptual horror. The concept is supposed to be whats scary. Sure, it wouldnt be hard to rip that stupid thing off, and bail. But, its fun to just enjoy things for what they are without trying to fill the blanks and put the pieces together.
But conceptual horror with a tighter storyline that can address first-level questions will make for a more powerful viewing

when i think of horror movies i typically think of the typical entities - clowns, aliens, ghosts, etc. not only was this creative but it was very well done… and i now have a newfound phobia of furries 🙌👍 great film!

What were the circumstances behind Scarlet's adoption? Did these parents willingly part with her? If she had grown up in this weirdness that would be a completely different film, almost like a Get Out. (The boyfriend being the one sewn up in a suit)
