I think Dizenzo will either be the backup OF or a starting LF. I think he'll get a shot.

What they should do? Theve got Pedro Leon down there who can hit.
He has power in a good defensive outfielder. Platoon him with McCormick and Jake.
Give him a chance to figgure it out. They have not even tried. They best not keep ignoring Bryan Abreau. It don't get much better. Astros will still win the west.

International Signing is Tomorrow. Hopefully Kevin Alvarez and many Top Prospects sign with the Astros.

Even if we don’t get that third OF we need, the Astros will probably get a young player to step up and assume the role. Dezenzo or Melton are the most likely candidates. Until then, Dubon is going to have to play some LF until that happens.

Why is Pedro Leon never mentioned in this analysis? Is there something wrong with that guy? It's clear he didn't get a legitimate chance last year.

I have faith in the Astros young guys. They're fighting for a shot on the main roster to try and win a ring. The farm is rated bottom of the barrel and doesn't have elite talent, but what they have is determination.

They're farm system isn't the best but with the addition of Cam Smith, Jacob Melton developing, drafting Janek, and adding another first round pick this year (hopefully a pitcher) we are starting to build it back up. We will compete this year for the division. I don't see the Astros being a bad team for quite a while.

Bottom of the barrel, have you been updated? The Astros rank in the middle.

@bradbennett4237 we've heard that for the last 5 years and somehow they bring up someone every year that makes a difference. That ranking isn't reliable and the astros seem to develop players older than 21 really well.

@@imallstar1they always rank major market prospects higher so they carry more weight as trading chips so “their” team’s get more for less. Funny how our terrible farm system has delivered more players than everyone else’s.

@@imallstar1 Funny, Whitcomb, Dezenzo, Leon, Trammell, Meyers and Cabbage didn't really impress me last year. Pena is the only guys that has come up and stayed up. Other than that, I have no clue who y'all are talking about
