Apparently Euronymous liked a bunch of electronic music too and annoyed Dead (Pelle) with it all the time and they got into arguments over it, some ending with Euronymous shooting at Pelle who had went out in the forest (obviously likely not knowing where he's at).
Ran into Paul in Vegas a couple years back when they played Psycho Fest haven't seem him since 2001, he said hi Dan your looking good shook my hand and said he was hungry looking for something to eat and left. My wife and I looked at each other and busted up laughing we still joke about it this day.

Its a underground metal show, a rare chance where you are surrounded by like minded people and not sheeple. Should be having a good time and at least making an effort to physically respond to the music. Bands feed off the energy or lack thereof the crowd gives them. He left the stage abruptly and pretty angrily at the end

I'm a Geographer for the US Army Corps of Engineers. That means I make a lotta maps for studies relating to engineering projects or natural disaster planning, sometimes surveying. All for that blackened death shit - it was Blasphemy, Bathory, Hellhammer and Sarcofago that got me into extreme metal n shit. Love Profanatica! Missed the last tour but I caught y'all at MDF and that kicked ass. Me n a show buddy are gonna try to start a band soon, 1st wave style BM heavily inspired by the Brazilian shit and a good dose of Discharge. Loved this interview. \m/
the only not-american USBM bands I know of are Perverted Ceremony from Belgium and Unholy Crucifix from Norway, nevertheless, one of the founding members of Unholy Crucifix is american and the band bounces location between southern California and western Norway on a regular basis. More USBM bands: Thy Feeble Saviour, VON, Sacrilegious Torment, Burning Winds, Royal Arch Blaspheme, Demoncy, Martirvore, Witchtomb, Void Meditation Cult, Prosanctus Inferi... ...and Im sure there's more that I'm not familiar with. Just as Master Ledney states: USBM is a style of playing, not a location. American BM bands that DO NOT play USBM: Typhus, Krieg (NJ - not to be confused with Kriegg from CA), Judas Iscariot..... in the other hand; Morbosidad, Black Witchery, Amputator etc etc etc play what I personally refer to as "Goat Metal" -thick death metal sound and production with ultra minimalistic compositions- (meaning, bands that play in the vein of Blasphemy, Archgoat, Beherit, Bestial Warlust etc.) and in the other hand; Rotting Christ, Necromantia, Mortuary Drape, Denial of God etc play "mediterrenian styled BM" which, once again, is a style of playing, not a location.
